The perfect course for me...
Good layout...adequate test for my game. Conditions were OK. Bring dog treats.
Just no
This course is definitely not worth it. I’ve played courses every where I can and this course is the worst I’ve been to. 9 holes and no tee boxes, fairway is the same as the grass in your yard. Greens are super small and terribly seeded. It’s a redneck course out there for sure. Don’t think I’ll be back.
Friendly manager
Manager was nice. Left sign on door to help yourself to cart, and go play. Funny little course. Old
School golf with a bunch of
Character. Don’t take it too serious and enjoy the experience.
Relaxed pace
the course was good. Easy and relaxed and staff is great. Very good for practicing my wanna be better shots. Nice property with long driving greens and some water, very few sand traps. Would definitely go again and more with the money than many more expensive courses and people all backed up waiting on you!
incompetent staff/greens management
I drove just shy of an hour for a tee time set over 3 hours ahead of time and when i arrived i had to hunt someone down to be told that they shut the course down today and that it was to wet to play, there were people on the course already and i never received a text, call, email, notification or anything when i asked when they shut it down she responded about 9am which was 30 minutes BEFORE i booked my round, never got notification then either, i then had to call Tee off, spoke to a very nice lady and she refunded my money but not before i had to walk back to the pro shop to tell her to pick up the phone that was ringing so they could confirm the course was shut down, this is the most unprofessional staff i have ever met even an email saying hey it looks like you tried to book with us but we are closed would have been great and no hard feelings but since i drove out and then had to find someone to tell me they had closed for the day when there were still people on the greens really is stupid and i see why the greens fee was so cheap the course has no management or personal
The Legendary Sarge
I think the best phrase to put for the legendary Sarge is it’s a judgement free course. This is a place where you can go play for a reasonable price and just enjoy the game. Obviously the conditions can’t compare to the nearby Hilton Head courses but if you’re looking for a fun round with good rates I highly recommend this course. It is also out in the countryside so it is very peaceful while playing and very nice staff on site
Beginner course
This is a great course for someone just learning how to play. The course itself is not maintained well.
If you do play the course, don't put the listed address from GolfNow.
The correct address is
50 County Club Dr.
Ridgeland SC 29936
You get what you pay for
Not alot of players, so not crowded at all. Problem is, the conditions are not real good. This is an inexpensive course and it should be because conditions are not good. 7 out of 9 greens had no grass, just hard packed dirt. Tee boxes are so hard you can hardly get a tee into the ground. Not much grass on most of the fairways which makes a decent shot difficult. I played here three years ago and now I remember why I haven't been back. It's a good course for beginners but not much more.
Bad
The course isn't that great, but my biggest issue is that I reserved a tee time on Monday, February 17th, and the course was closed when I got there.
Country Style Course
Very laid back and relaxing course. Ideal for the casual golfer or someone learning the game. Beautiful wooded setting.
A different kind of golf course
Not your typical golf course. It’s a 9 hole course that is fun to play if you are teaching or learning how to play. Fairways are not your typical Bermuda grass, just cut fescue grasses. Greens are fair. My wife is learning so it is a good place to learn basics. A fun course to play for something different.
For being off the beaten path this nine hole course is a great track. The fairways have great grass for the time of year. As do the tee boxes. The greens do need help but hey it was a cold winter by Carolina standards and most of all this course is run by a One man show!!!! So needless to say my wife and I had a great time playing 18 and will surely be back.
Don't go.
Nice people, friendly dog, pathetic golf course. It's fine for locals, children, but shouldn't be on Golf Now. The good price hooked me, Didn't play the second nine.
Could become a great course
Greens need some serious attention. Fairways were good.
