The Club at Pine Forest

About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

OK COURSE...GREENS CRAP
The course in itself was not bad. From tee to the first blade of grass on the green is good. But every green had dirt patches everywhere on them. Other than the greens. The course was fine
Wet fairways slow play
Sunny day but due to rain the previous week the fairways were soaking wet. Not much you can do about that but keep the cart on the path. My main complaint is the pace of play. After 10 holes our twosome logged 3 hours. We gave up and drove home. No rangers nobody moving the 5-some (!) in front of us along. And they wouldn't let us play through. Wouldnt go here again.
Drainage Issues
Love the course, but it was so muddy today! I almost fell down a half dozen times...slipping in the mud.
Course was very wet
Cart path only but playable. Enjoyed the course.. playing again tomorrow, hopefully alittle dryer. The course is a tough test of golf but very fair.
Wet Conditions
The course was extremely wet and the carts were restricted to the paths, which I understand. I think I would enjoy playing again when the weather warms up and the course is dry. It is difficult to rate the course when there were so many wet and muddy areas.
Pine Forest
The temperature was in high 30s to low 40s Only 2 of us played so I was stuck with paying fir 3 rounds of golf and therefore it cost me $90.
Certainly not a deal I’ll do again. It was ‘cart path only’ and as a 73 year old I will not book thru Golfpass again and get stuck with unused rounds. I ask course for a weather check and they said ask Golfpass for a refund???
WET
Must have been a heavy rain before I arrived. Course was soggy almost everywhere! My socks, legs, and shorts were splattered with mud. Quit after nine. Played for free but wasn’t worth it!
Jim Murray
Cart path only, frost delay, slow play and pretty lousy greens. It is winter, but overall it is at best in mediocre shape.
Slooooooooow
Tuesday after Christmas and course was way over booked. Sat in line at #1 tee box for 30 minutes past our tee time. Driving range closed at 11:20 because they ran out of balls and didn’t want to collect them. People everywhere and couldn’t even use the range. 3 hours to play 9 holes. Terrible experience and first time there.
It's close to the house, convenient.
Very nice course very close to home. Not to expensive. some tough and some not to tough holes. There is water on several hol es.
Challenging course, but mud/muck was everywhere.
Played with a Hot Deal from Golf Now. It rained a few days prior to playing and the course still had mud and muck everywhere. Had to be cart path only. If you got anywhere near some of the greens you had to be careful that you didn't slip because all of the greens were elevate and some were surrounded by mud. It is a challenging course--18 holes with water on every one of them. Bring more than one ball! Took 5 hrs to finish the round. Better draining and maintenance and it would be a first class course.
