Redhawk Golf Club

I’ve played this course a decent amount of times now. Today was just extra aggravating due to an older fore some. Typically this course is in incredible condition. The layout is amazing, the greens are well manicured, along with the fairway and rough. However, this course is one where if you tee off in the middle of the morning / afternoon, you can almost guarantee a 5+ hour round. I’ve never one time seen a ranger speed up pace of play.

This morning, I tee’d off at 7am as a solo, The starter told me there was one group in front of me that went at 6:30. By the time I got to the 8th hole, I had just caught up to them. I played through them. Finished the front 9 in a little over an hour.

When I got to the back 9, driving to the 10th tee box, I see a group of 4 pulling off. They didn’t play the 10th, they must have skipped a hole or two because I didn’t see them again until I got to the 14th tee box. These 4 gentleman, refused to let me play through? I was waiting at every tee box, waiting in the fairway to hit on the green, I played 1 stroke behind them. Absolutely made me wait every time and when I got to the 18th, I wait again to tee off, I finish the hole and I see them turn to go to the 1st tee box. They held me up for 5 straight holes after cutting me off mid round. I’m a 3 handicap, playing from the tips, they’re playing from the most forward tee and looked back multiple times and seen me, waiting.

At what point, will the course move players along? Just ruins a round when you’re waiting 10+ minutes on every box you get to. Today was just another example of pace of play here. This isn’t a one off situation, it’s every single time I play this course.

Encountered two 5-somes which was odd but both let me play through so fine for now but could be annoying if stuck behind.

This course is in my top 5 for sure! Everything about it was just supreme. Definitely recommend and will be playing there again soon.

What a wonderful golf course! Staff was extremely friendly and picked us up at our car and drove us back after the round. Course was in wonderful condition. Greens were rolling 11, fair and also is great condition.

Great value for the money especially when compared to other options in the area.

tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in excellent condition. second time playing the course in 3 weeks, they keep making it better. Will be back again soon.

II’ve been to Redhawk GC many times and it’s always a memorable day out. In my opinion always finely tuned.

haven't played the course in 15 yrs, should'nt have waited so long. course was in excellent condition. fairways,greens,tee boxes A+ from the starter to the grill staff was great. Will be playing again real soon

Redhawk is a well maintained and fun course, featuring an island green. If you hit it mostly straight, you can shoot a good score. If you get crooked or miss the greens, it will cost you strokes. It can get crowded on weekends, based on past experience. I played as a single a Monday afternoon. I had twosomes in front and behind and still moved along without much waiting, finishing in under 4 hours. The practice facilities and amenities are nice. I paid just under $50 and was very satisfied with my weekday round.

I’ve been playing Redhawk for many years. It’s been great at times and kind of poor at times. Yesterday (03/23/2026), it was in the best shape I have ever seen. Tee to green, the course is very well kept even though it looks as if it was recently punched. Great job Redhawk.

It would have been nice if they would have told us the greens were punched.

Recently went to redhawk. Tee time price was far but it didn’t not say a thing about the greens being punched just a few days prior. Very disappointed

Course in excellent condition, much better than 3-5 years ago. Congrats to the new management and staff

Beautiful golf course that totally ignores player satisfaction.On the first tee we were preceded by 2 guys in a cart sharing one set of clubs. The starter explained that one of the guys had his clubs stolen and so the pro shop made an exception for him. I asked why they simply didn’t lend him a rental set and the starter acknowledged that that would have been a good idea.

We followed the foursome for 5 hours and 20 minutes. About the 15th hole the foursome became a sixsome. We teed off at 12:40 and finished at 6:00 p.m. , nearly dark.

At no time did we see a Marshall or anyone we could ask to remedy the situation.

It is a pity that such a lovely course could be so mismanaged.
