You don't have to go to Florida to see a lot of alligator's on a golf course. Photo submitted by Darrell9361015 on 02/15/2022

Too tricked up
Brigantine 9 has too many holes with no safe shot from the tee. The average golfer of 10-12 HDCP is not going to enjoy their day if they have to start on this 9..

Pro shop staff were very friendly and helpful! Bar and snack shop not so much! Drink cart girl was friendly and helpful! Greens were very fast and true! Very nice greens! Lots of Aligators to see!
The course was good , staff was friendly and accommodating. I booked thru the golf now app..when I arrived to the course they had no knowledge of me having a tee time, I was a little bit disappointed because I gave myself ample time to go to the driving range. When my name was not on the tee sheet they had to rush me to the first tee to join the threesome on the first hole, who already were halfway down the fairway..by the time I arrived. I did not play the first hole and met the group on the first green. Miscommunication somewhere . First time having a problem booking with golf now.
Review of the course
I have played Shipyard for many, many years as we used to own a residence here in Shipyard Plantation. I have to be honest with this review as this course has deteriorated in comparison with other HH courses. A lot of the surrounding area outside the putting surface had been sprayed with “something green” as there was no grass underneath the green surface?!?!? I never saw this before on this course and I played it at different times of the year in the past. Maybe it’s due to the changes in the weather down here over the winter but it doesn’t look good for a HH Golf Course. I was planning to play again but now I’m planing to play another course. GOOD LUCK with the upcoming season!!!!!!!!
Great round of golf
We had a beautiful day and great time with the pair we played with. The course was in good condition and had some tricky layouts. Still enjoyable and ‘interesting’ seeing several alligators :).
Course condition needs improvement. Some staff (Don) needs to relax.
Nice course
Pace of play was good. A foursome finished in just over 4 hours. Cart paths need improvement. Overall good for the money.
Brigantine and Clipper
Busy day and slow front 9 but quiet on back...to be expected. Course is long enough for whomever and challenging enough with lots of water.
It's about the experience and what you bring to it really. The course is perfectly fine and the staff is very good.
If you don't like it and you're not a scratch golfer; you're probably just being critical.
We'll be back
Consistently Great Golf Course
I have played at Shipyard several times over the past 5 years. Always enjoy the course and seeing a few alligators. Each of the 3 nines offer a mix of tight holes and more accommodating opportunities.
