Wet n slow
Cart path only due to recent snow/rain. Fairways, cart path flooded, bunkers have ice and/or water, no sand but stones. Greens are excruciatingly slow and bumpy.
Normally it’s a nice course but not these days.
Hard course to review
First of all, IMO, the course shouldn't have been open, it was too wet, many, many areas of standing water and all of the bunkers were filled up, but every course is taking money no matter what so I played, the day was windy with many holes playing into the headwind added with the wetness made it a tough day.
Have always liked playing here, but won't make the mistake of playing after the rain the area had recently, also no ranger on the course to speed up play, 2 foursomes ahead of us with 2 holes open in front of them, very indifferent day, got a deal thru GN which made it easier to handle the slowness.
Must Play
First time playing the course and it surpassed all my expectations by far. This may be the best shore course in South Jersey. The condition of the course was very good despite all of the rain. Can’t wait to play it again when it dries out.
Difficult Course
Course was in great condition but challenging. Greens were excellent. You have to be a long hitter to clear trouble from some of the tee boxes. First time I ever considered hitting from the gold tees.
Great Condition
Absolutely love this gem. A bit soggy in spots but expected after some rains. Greens receptive, not too slow and rolled true. Fantastic condition for early December.
Links golf in southern New Jersey
A great golf experience. A good change of pace playing a Links course. This course is in great shape. We played following a heavy rain so cart path only, but it didn't affect play. I would highly recommend this course.
Good Value
About as close to Pine Valley as I'll ever get. Love the layout.
Different World
I felt as if I was in Palm Springs. This course takes you out of New Jersey and into the desert. Very fun round, lost a few balls in the fescue but still a great outing. Will be back next year.
Fantastic !
The course was in fantastic condition & the pace was great for this course. Hope I can get back there ASAP
Different challenge
course is different from your traditional courses with wide fairways but high grass if you miss it. Fairways and greens in good shape. Different from traditional wooded courses. Fun to play. Don't even think of walking, long distance between some tees.
Dan
Great layout. Tough with cart path only. Will definitely play again.
Fun at Twisty Dunes
I haven’t played here in awhile . Always fun and enjoyable. Played with husband and two friends. And they enjoyed the fun beautiful and yet challenging course. A little wet from day before rain, yet great play and great conditions
Does Not Feel Like NJ
Played after a few days of rain and the fairways held up very well! Tee boxes were in great shape for mid November. Really enjoyed the layout and aesthetics. Definitely felt like a course you’d find in North Carolina or Georgia rolling hills well placed bunkers.
A lot of fun we got on at 1245 and we’re the last grouping for the day so we’re able to get through all 18 and it didn’t get dark until the 18th and no one lost a ball so I’ll take that as a win!
Average guys Pine Valley very.
Best shore course the average guys pine valley. Very natural not tricked up. .Great greens love to play it more.. Top 5 course in Jersey
Great Course
Haven’t played the course in years and was so stoked at its condition in November. Terrific and very challenging layout. You would never believe you were in NJ.
One of South Jerseys best
The fall presents leaf and late sun issues. Twisted is a links style course with few leaves. although the rough earns its name. It is always well cared for and a test of any golfers ability with many tees choices.
Nice fairways after 5 dry days
Beautiful course, 11am full tee sheet played in 4H10. Glad we came after dry spell or may tend to stay wet. Great day worth 1-1/2 hour drive and $42 with cart. Not sure why no foam in cups necessitating flagstick touches.
