Dundas Parks Golf Club

About
The private Dundas Parks Golf Club, founded in 1957, offers a nine-hole golf course and practice area and welcomes visitors by prior arrangement. The golf course measures 6,324 yards at par-70 (over 18 holes). Nature lovers get an added bonus in the form of the local flora and fauna, such as the occasional deer.
The Dundas Parks Golf Club offers a moderately undulating parkland golf course that won't hurt the legs, but will definitely challenge the skills. It features consistently good conditions and fast-and-true greens.
A round of golf at the Dundas Parks Golf Club kicks off on the 254-yard, par-4 first hole, with the longest hole being the second, which measures 496 yards at par 5; close the day on the 215-yard par-3 ninth (or 18th) hole.

Calm easy going atmosphere. Straightforward with nice views. Local 9 holer was a nice change of pace after playing big name resort courses’
Good people
First time playing this course and really enjoyed it. Some very nice members. Very sympathetic to me just starting out in golf. Will go again next time around that area.
Wee cracker
A great wee course. If you are not a fan of doing 9 holes twice, then that is the only thing that will disappoint you. Its in great condition, not a long course and as always if you hit straight its not that difficult. A decent level for the likes of me a 18 handicap. Quite forgiving mostly if you do stray. Really enjoyed it and will play again.
First Time
First time playing this course. Friendly welcome. Course in great condition, especially the greens. Nice banter with other players on the course. The good weather was an added bonus.
Enjoyable
Friendly, staff, members and other visitors. Looks like a good place to be!
Greens were in excellent condition and staff were very friendly and accommodating..Will go back again soon.
Step back in time
Don’t bother going here. The starter was extremely rude and unwilling to have a mature conversation. Felt like we were going back in time, not into a modern world of golf that we have experienced in recent years. We ended up not playing because I don’t want to support a club represented by this individual.
Not enjoyable
It felt like the staff and the members treated us poorly because we were not members and had booked through golf now. The round took us 4 hours because a 4 ball of members would not let us play through. Totally ruined the round. The rough was unplayable. Also it’s advertised as 18 holes when it is actually 9 holes that you play twice. The 9th/18th was also a winter green for some bizarre reason. Certainly won’t be going back.
Lovely 9 hole course
Played on 12th September and the course was in great condition. Some of the lushest fairways I’ve ever played off. Despite the wet weather during the week the greens still had some pace. They defend themselves with tiers, false fronts and run off areas so your approach shots have to be well considered.
The tees and bunkers were also well maintained. It’s a good and fair test, wide fairways but juicy rough, you can find you ball ok but it is a real hazard if you find it and sometimes just have to take your medicine.
The course has a really good length to it in comparison to a lot of 9 hole courses and the views and surrounds are really nice. Watch out for the Lamas grazing on the Castle grounds, I had a bit of a double take with that !!!
Some good holes played between lovely mature trees, the last two holes do seem like they’ve been squeezed in by the skin of their teeth but it doesn’t detract from the actual playability of the holes themselves.
Lovely course, well worth checking out.
A Wee Hidden Gem
We arrived at course having booked through Golf Now. Went to clubhouse which was open and had an honesty box. Asked a member what to do as no starter could be found. I was directed to a board of Tee-Off times and surprise surprise our name and Tee-Time was highlighted. There was a small practice putting green which I wish I'd takn advantage off as I was caught out on the greens a few times during our round. Course was in excellent condition with a variety of trees lining the fairways, The fairways were lush and good fer hitting off, The rough was proper rough which wrapped around the club in places spoiling or marring potential great shots(I have not seen or played in semi-rough this difficult for years and this just added to the enjoyment). The greens were faster than Usain Bolt in places with great undulations making putting adventurous at times with putts going astray and rolling past the hole unexpectedly. Several of the fairways criss crossed each other which was quite interesting and care is needed so that you do not play over others in places. Several members asked us if we were enjoying the course and the camaraderie of the members was excellent. My Mrs whom walked the first nine with us and took advantage of the clubhouse facillities while we played the back nine was equally impressed even getting into the spirit of things by directing errant golfers how to use facilities such as drinks machines and honesty-box. NB: It was great to see women out on course having a good round with no pressure from others at their back. Definitely be baCck.
