About
The Links Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the ultimate in risk-reward golf. The architect, Tom Jackson, routed five holes along the bay and then wound the course inland across rolling undulations. In order to prevail against the blustery Gulf Coast winds, accuracy and proper club selection are essential, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. In addition to being right along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Baytowne Marina serves as a backdrop to the course, providing even more stunning views of the Emerald Coast. Of the four championship golf courses that Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers, the Links is one of the original two and also one of the most popular. The layout offers a unique links experience that all skill levels can enjoy, especially since it features four different sets of tees.

Perfect course…. Grumpy starter
Went down on a guys trip as we do multiple times per year. This is our favorite course bar none. It is always well-maintained and gorgeous water courses on the front nine.
However, the starter is very grumpy and takes himself way too serious. Got very rude with us before we even teed off. Almost to the point we canceled our round. Knowing how friendly Jerry is in the pro shop and how great the course is, we overlooked his attitude and went ahead and had a fantastic round. Get over yourself dude.
A Quick Round at the beach!
Every staff member that we encountered was fabulous. Polite, professional, and welcoming! The course was in OK condition…..for the money. I would’ve thought it would’ve been in better shape, but that’s Destin in June.
Greens were still recovering, course was challenging

Beautiful course and fun to play, although fairly tight play with water on 13 of 18 holes. Had a great time and loved the views. Would definitely recommend.

Tee boxes need some work.
The fairways and greens were is very good condition. Can’t say the same thing for the tee boxes. Didn’t matter if it was a par 3 or 5. Hard to find a patch of grass or level ground to tee off.

Challenging but Very Scenic
The course was challenging with the greens well protected by bunkers and fairways with plenty of water hazards on several sides. However, the scenic view of the bay with numerous palm trees alongside many of the fairways was truly breathtaking. I would recommend playing this course to experience the challenge and the view.

Good course, great views
Lost a few in the water, but enjoyed the round just the same. Greens rolled great, sand was fair to play from.

Unhelpful staff and overbooked course
They overbooked the course that day apparently and upon making my tee time I noted my wife would be riding along. I believe I made the reservation on the 20th so they had 3 days to, at the very least, let me know a ride along wasn’t guaranteed but instead we were blindsided. They make no note of that upon reservation or that if you book as a solo player you’ll be thrown into a group so you’re not only stuck playing with people you don’t know, you have your anniversary golf trip spoiled by an unprepared course with less than helpful staff.
A fun experience on a great venue. I recommend this course, you won’t be disappointed.
