After golf we had sandwiches and a salad with an excellent coffee!!
We could not praise the staff behind the bar enough!!
Looking forward to returning!
Beautiful course in great condition
First time at Bull Bay golf course and first time playing a links course. It was tough but my husband is an experienced player and had played there several times before. We had a buggy which was great fun and saved our tired legs as we had a lot of golf that week.
The weather was good and scenery spectacular with lots of sea views and up on the top panoramic views of Anglesey. There were lots of blind shots where I had to trust the yardages on my Garmin but I scored really well. You have to be accurate, very few balls come out of the rough, the gorse and rough grass eat them!!!
Everyone we met welcomed us warmly and the staff and members were proud of their course. We only had drinks as food was booked elsewhere but the bar has fantastic views as well, I could have stayed there a lot longer!
Great course, we will return ( to look for those lost balls!)
Great track
Heard alot about Bull bay gc before I played it and it lived up to the hype. Excellent course great scenery, greens were spot on for time of year. Fairways were were dry considering the weather before hand. Could do with a couple of signs green to tee on a few but I found my way. Great course
Excellent
.. Excellent layout, difficult but rewarding... Greens great. Members friendly, pro too.. and the lady behind the bar in clubhouse was great.Highly recommended, if only there was no wind!
Played in one of the Open Week competitions and must say it was just fantastic.
Greens were like carpet (true, fast but fair), fairways were pristine and pace of play (despite back to back 4 balls) was brisk.
The course condition was a real credit to the green keeper and his team and the chair of the greens committee.
As a visitor, I found all staff and members to be incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. Shop had some stock but I hear this will improve shortly. Despite COVID restrictions, the bar and catering were most efficient.
I would wholeheartedly recommend a days golf at Bull Bay GC.
Great views
As always, a pleasure to play, course in very good condition with super friendly staff, this is my favourite course in Anglesey
Disappointed
A fall from grace, not the course it once was.
For similar price Holyhead is far superior.
Weather was nice.
Not up to the usual standard. Tees not cut and greens slow. Presented like a muni, better value courses on Anglesey.
Terrible Greens
Hollotised greens, they have to be done but inform customers. To turn up and play greens in a terrible condition is robbery.
We felt cheated as it is a complete farce putting on those greens.
Terrible Greens
Greens have been cored, not sanded, terrible
This cannot be a true test of golf. Fair enough greens have to be cored, but tell people before charging them top dollar for a round. To turn up to that is not acceptable.
bull bay
Having been recommended b a number of people , i have to say i was very disappointed. This almost started from the get go , no pro , no stock in the pro shop , although the girl who showed us around was welcoming .
The course it's self was very disappointing the greens ha been hollowtyned and did not appear to have been dressed or more importantly watered and was totally unacceptable and we should have been told this prior to the booking . The next issue is the signage whilst member's would know where to go we did not and the signage which was in place was small and ill positioned . There are a number of blind holes either from the tee and no a little marker posts , on a number of par 4 holes you can hit a good tee shot and still have a blind shot to the green and unable to even see the top of the flag Finally around some greens the grasses had not been collected and looked tatty . All this is disappointing the views and location are to die for . These comments are reflective of what we saw , i believe this is not typical to a true reflection of the course we played
Terrible greens
I have played bull bay previously and always enjoy the course, but when greens have been cored and are totally unplayable then they should tell people before hand rather than just take our green fees. I felt really dissappointed having told my playing partners how good bull bay was.
Terrible paying to play on that.
Great course
Great course which will provide a challenge for all. Lots of raised tees and blind greens off the tee. I throughly enjoyed my round at bull bay and would recommend to anyone.
A Real Cracker
Very enjoyable course with a unique quirkyness about it. Many blind tee shots on to neatly moved fairways that reward accuracy. Greens were undulating and true. A must play for any visitors to the Isle.
