Plenty fo challenging elevation changes. Good to great greens. A difficult course to walk.
Fun and accessible
It’s a great course to get to by boat, great availability, and great value.
This course was a waste of time and money. I have been coast to coast playing all sorts of country clubs across Canada and the Kenora golf club is one I will definitely not return to. The course was extremely blind, no sense of direction, all staff members were snarky and rude to my friends and i, and we were charged close to double what the course was worth. Not to mention on 2 separate occasions older members hit balls into us and complained about our attire, pace of play and our skill in general. A beautiful landscape in a cute town wasted on a snobby, disrespectful, embarrassing golf club establishment.
Challenging
Because of Covid the course had to abide by some fairly strict rules to allow play. That being said, the pro shop employees have been excellent to deal with The course is in great shape and with the extra time between tee times the pace of play is not a problem. We’re looking forward to our next round .
Paid for 18 but only played 9
Paid on the Golfnow app for 18. Course management told me upon arrival that it’s too late for 18 holes but I received no refund or credit.
Greens came through the winter in great shape, smooth and consistent but not up to mid summer speed yet.
Best in North Western Ontario
A tough shorter course laid out in a very picturesque setting. The greens are in great shape and if rolled can be challenging. The fairways have some areas where our local Canada Goose population have been feeding and are a little thin. This just adds diversity to the deer, bear, foxes and wolves I have seen on the course.
One needs to be cognizant of the eight elevated greens with a couple being blind.Do not expect a lot of flat lies,as the course is quite hilly. With the four tee locations, the course is quite playable for most golfers.
All of the staff are great.Have a good game!
The course has blind shots to greens elevation changes. a pleasant contrast to most manitoba courses
Very good, I am a long time member. The course was in great shape. The weather was great. All in all a very good year.
