Been here a few times now. Challenging course with lovely views over Bakewell. Some of the greens were a little bumpy, but overall had a great afternoon again. Will visit again soon...
Very hilly
Only 9 holes playing off different tees on back 9. Very hilly and too much like hard work.

Sunny winter day on a soggy course
We went to Bakewell because our course (Cavendish Buxton) was closed with snow. The course was very muddy and slippy in places, a few face splatters from club swings but we really enjoyed it, a beautiful winters day and we practically had the course to our selves, we are novice golfers so doing 9 holes twice was a great chance to try and improve on the second 9 once we knew the lay of the land (although all 9 holes are played from different tees) I'm looking forward to playing it again, Very friendly grounds men too
Great views and interesting holes.
Short but challenging course with many uneven stances. Very hilly in parts would recommend to carry if possible as not very accessible for trolleys. Early October and the course was in excellent condition despite the recent deluge of rain all greens were in play. You need to be reasonably fit to play this course but very enjoyable with stunning views.
Quirky layout and a great challenge
Course looks amazing, elevated greens, elevated tees hidden in the hillside,, short course with some tough holes, amazing views of the surrounding area.
Thank you to everyone who went out of their way to make our day as pleasurable as they could during Covid 19.
We met staff and members all of which made us very welcome and could not be more helpful.
The course and terrain was challenging with lovely views of the surrounding area.
Great value for money.
Thanks Jez
Beautiful
Fantastic picturesque course.......very hilly but worth the effort.
Lovely little course
Bakewell is fairly short but pretty and interesting and keeps you guessing all the way round. Not one for the 300 yard hitters! Enjoyed it again as it’s a good challenge and usually in good condition. Thanks again
A challenging course.
Very friendly and helpful members, gave plenty of tips and course advice on how to play the course.
Thank you to the Gentlemen four ball we met at hole 1.
This is a challenging course that needs your full attention, the first four holes especially, will need to be played strategically.
There are some fabulous feature holes, 7,8,9 have wonderful views of the surrounding Bakewell area.
On our own
Got there no one about had to put booking sheet in to a box then went out to play golf no one about saw two people playing golf all the round got back to the club house no one about. And left no one had any idea we had even played golf. Ever strange. But would play it again I must say a little different from most golf course I've played. Give it a try. A lovely 9 hole course lovely views of bakewell.
