Very Decent Track
Very good layout, Tee to Green it's well looked after. Surrounding paths and walkways very muddy. My trolley wheels seized up! Super staff at the clubhouse.
Air lines not operating so my boot is covered in mud.
Overall it's a nice golf course. I feel like £35, maybe £40 at a push, but £50 for the green fee was a bit much...
Lovely course but undergoing major bunker renovations
First time playing for months as the previous visit the greens were awful.
Gave them the benefit of the doubt as they hadn’t been like that on previous visits. Never great but not bad either.
We weren’t given any warnings during booking or before setting out that every bunker on the front 9 had been dug up!!!
You wouldn’t know until playing a hole as you can’t see other holes except some back 9 ones from a distance.
A shock around every corner as you wouldn’t think so many would be done at once, and if they are surely the bloke in the shop would have mentioned it.
We will go back next year as the course is a good design and is mostly peaceful and can be like millionaires golf with hardly anyone else around.
But we will call ahead for course information before booking next time as I am sure all of the back 9 will be dug up once the front 9 are completed.
Excellent condition despite lots of rain
Greens and fairways exceptional. A tough course and a good test 6 handicapper shooting +8 with a few three putts.. this will be magic when the weather improves
Always enjoy this course!
Played here a few times and always enjoy it, it’s a long course, tough in places but rewarding when you hit well. Greens are in great condition and challenging. I look forward to playing there again soon.
An interesting long course, e.g two par 3s player my over 200yds into wind!!
V good condition of fairways and greens (still recovering from hollow tining). Played off the whites in windy conditions was a tough test. Tough undulating fairly fast greens. V good value at £25
Good course but
Overall very good tees and greens
Only down side with the course was the bunkers have a lot of stones in
Tough course but a great round
Caversham Heath is a very challenging course, with undulating and fast greens. Tee to green is always well kept, with very good sand in the bunkers.
The course was playing kind on this day with no real wind, but some of the par fours are still hard work to reach in two.
For the price we paid, it was a good deal on what was a good course.
The only downer for me is that the greens are hard work, because you rarely get a putt without any break and they were very fast to play on.
Amazing job by the green keepers to keep the course in excellent condition despite the recent heatwave.
Tricky greens and sloping fairways make this course a great test and I'll be taking this course in again
Green fairways
Due to sprinkled fairways the course was in excellent condition. Everyone was so friendly.
Superb Condition
Course in great nic despite the recent harsh conditions
Lovely course
Tricky greens and undulating fairways makes for a good course , makes you think about your shots and punishis you when you don’t , I will be playing this course again
Great course . Pity about the bunkers
Like my title says I really enjoyed my round . Challenging some great views. Greens ran well. Was in the Bunker twice and no sand below to the extent that I could see the black lining. But besides that it's a great course.
Well worth trying , enjoyed very much
I pick this course because it hosts Europro tour, I have played other 2 courses in area, Harleyford, studleywood. Again, this is lovely course, challenging green. Probably one of the best maintained fairways, I absolutely love the greens, you have got to be sharp chipping and putting. Staff are friendly, clubhouse is very good. 2 little things to mention, a lot of little stones in bunkers although Quality sands in there, and since we can hit off grass on driving range, wish more grass are there, we are really hitting from sand... but overall, reasonable price in afternoon, great decision that I visited, and will visit again for sure.
Played well after poor weather
Well set up course with good bunkering. Choice of tees means you can make the course as testing as you want. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Played the day after a lot of rain and the course, while soft in places, was very playable with the greens rolling well. May well return in the summer when I am sure the greens will be fast and true.
Nice day at Caversham
Course in great condition and staff very friendly (particularly at the 9th hole refreshment store). Driving range along way away and walks between holes fairly large. That said, a great challenge for the experienced golfer with some challenging bunker positions.
A bit samey
Course was in lovely condition and is fairly typical of a Heathland type course layout. My only negative comment is that it just felt a bit samey - mostly long par 4s that all looked the same. Minor gripe really as the course was very good and the £20 we paid for a mid week round was excellent value
Superb
Course in great condition as usual, I always look forward to playing this course.
