Worth the drive “outstanding “
Just played a fantastic 18 holes. Lovely conditions fairways greens nothing but perfect. I must say my experience was up there with the top places I’ve played. My friends and son thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff on arrival were great and the golf experience perfect.
First of 2021
First game post lockdown. Thankfully the course was in better condition than my game. All the tee boxes, fairways and greens were benefiting from the forced break. Only negative aspect was (Nothing to do with the course, or facilities ) The fact that after I’d already booked a two ball, I was notified by my friends that they wish to joiners and was unable to amend my booking to a fourball because the teatime had completely gone. It was after the clubhouse and pro shop had closed so I couldn’t really phone them up to amend the booking or phone early in the morning as we had a 9 am tee off time
Great winter course but ...
Played this course many times during the winter and it’s always in good condition. Doesn’t get too wet anywhere and the large greens roll well for the conditions. However, it is slow so expect a round to take over 4hrs, sometimes near to 5hr.
PS wear more layers as it’s always colder.
Rain stopped play
Course was quiet and we went out behind a very, very slow 4 ball who seemed oblivious to sense and convention of letting players through- myself and my golfing buddy.
Rain showers became more persistent and the group ahead seemed to abandon their round about the 5th hole. The rain eased a little but then returned with vengeance when we were on the 8th- forcing us to also give up as it was like being in a car wash.
However, the course had played well and was in good condition- lush fairways and surprisingly predictable greens too. We will see about getting a part credit against a round later this week!
Great course
2nd time playing here and again not disappointed.
Overall course conditions were good.
Pace of play was decent
Only thing I can complain about was the buggies, with them being lpg after a couple of holes both of us had extreme headaches from fumes
The course is in fantastic condition all year .
The course plays well all year. With the condition fantastic .
Poor pace of play
Whilst the course was good and the greens consistent with some challenging holes the pace of play was terrible. 4hrs for a single player because of a 4 ball and only 8 minutes between tee times affected my round
SECOND TIME AT KILWORTH SPRINGS
We had a great round. Moderately challenging with some interesting holes. Very good facilities and decent food.
Maintenance Men on all greens
I had to skip 3 holes as I was told by the maintenance men working on the greens and bunkers that if I was not a member I had to move on. Fairways were just a field, the cuts were not easy to see from the tee. Really bad experience.
Scorched
Needs water badly as the course is completely scorched, but in this weather must be difficult. The greens were covered in top dressing making putting a lottery.

Great verity
Good verity in hole designs. Course in very good condition
Cracking venue
excellent course great greens this is a venue of 2 halfs as front nine very different from back nine .
You need to score big on 1st nine !
Great course
First time I’ve played this course since 2004. It’s matured very well over the last 16 years and provides a forgiving challenge. Some great holes with the need to be straight much needed.
Will be back again soon.
