My playing partner. 80 years old and still nailing his drives! Photo submitted by JettSpot on 07/11/2017
Over priced
45 dollars for caddy....was wasted money.
No restaurant or bars cool off.
El tigres is much better course and in values.
This course is not worth it
Very disappointed in my 3rd round at this course. Front 9 was fine, caddy was great. Course allowed a 6-some in front of us. Took them 40 minutes to play each of the last 3 holes. Miserable day of golf.
I’ve always been on the fence about this place. The shuttle here, driving range over there, golf cart ride back here. We will not be back. There are better values and locations out there!
Interesting but not great
Interesting golf course... but for the price will prefer to play at El Tigre...
No condo around... mandatory caddy... but now with gps and cart not really a plus....
Par 3 are probably the challenge... most of rhem with water hazard or enough long could be difficult for average player...
Par 4 of the 5 par 5.... mostly straight... so this is it .... ride to go at the first hole pretty long...
Lot of greens were most of them surprisingly not holding the line.... maybe beacause
Maybe other Vandata give you more for the price..
A great day on the links.
Thank you to Billy our caddy. He was top notch, very helpful, professional and made the round very enjoyable.
First time is always the best!
I thought the grounds were a great build up to the course itself, everything is beautiful!
I would personally like to thank my caddie Hector for making the day quite enjoyable! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun to hang with. I was a single that was extremely important to me. I’ll be back!
An enjoyable golf challenge
We played this course last year while staying at Vidanta and played it two more times while visiting again last week. Tomas was our forecaddie and he did an excellent job! The course was in great shape. This course has plenty of character and will definitely hold your interest.
Hidden Cost Ripoff
The course itself was in decent shape with good variety and several water/bunker challenges. Club rental was $60 US (outrageous) and the women’s clubs were far inferior to the men’s rentals. I discovered on the 2nd hole that the grip on my driver was very loose... with the heat it would twist 180 degrees in my hands. I was forced to use my husband’s driver for the rest of the round... longer club than I’d like. Complaints to staff at the pro shop fell on deaf ears with claims that there were no managers left on duty and no compensation could be made. On top of that, we were surprised with a $500 peso charge for the caddie we were forced to use and who did not add much value to the round. All in all a poor experience.
Bring your clubs to Puerta Villarta
Allow yourself an extra half hour before your tee time, the complex is massive. We played in three hours, the course was in great shape, Daniel was a wonderful fore caddie. I would highly recommend him. This is probably Puerto Vallarta’s premier golf facility. The greens are fast, and the fairways wide open. It was very challenging even from the gold tees.
Nice very forgiving track
Not very long from the whites. I suggest outing the blue tees if you hit it over 230 off the tee. Fairways very short. So if you have trouble hitting off tight lies it will be a battle. Over all great day and great service
Nice greens
Ground was a little wet in spots, made it tough to chip from e wet spots. But generally in good shape
Our caddie Florencio was great
Norman versus Nayar
Would rather play the Nayar course, sister course at Vidanta. Nothing spectacular about this course. Not worth the extra cost.
Vidanta—Norman
Fun day but a little slow. Didn’t see Carr girl until 9th hole. We were spitting dust..
Such a great place
Excellent course, wind and water all over the place making it hard but fun
Great course, I play here often.
I play here all the time. Great course, friendly staff.
GolfNow needs to get honest about pricing. Backing out the tax charged on a round of golf and then advertising that price as a discount is simply dishonest. Golfers end up paying full price at checkout.
Better Courses in the Area for less money
The whole Vidanta resort layout is not conducive to the non resort golfer. To get from the taxi to the first tee at the Norman course is really a trial; exit to a central way station, take a shuttle cart to the pro shop, get assigned your Mandatory caddie, get in a cart and drive 15-20 minutes, hopefully without getting lost through a maze of endless pathways, over a huge suspension bridge to the first tee! Yow, The course is just okay in its layout, many of the holes look the same and are flat and not very memorable! Conditions are good. We paid $125 after noon plus caddie fee ($20) - who was better than okay, not wonderful, wonderful. There are better courses in the area for less money!
