Golfer Reviews
Dissapontment
Tee box, fairway and rough all the same length. Slow play waited on every shot. Rained out on 4th hole and couldn’t get a refund from Golf Now.
Nice course but needs some care
From their website:
"Rolling hills and dramatic elevation changes present a challenge to the serious golfer while the beautiful vistas and open lay-out make the course appealing to the novice."
All true.
The course layout and design takes advantage of it's natural surroundings. The term, organic architecture might be appropriate because a man made object, this golf course, seamlessly integrates with it's natural surroundings.
It was disappointing coming across, in the dozen or so spots around the course,
areas that required maintenance such as divoting, bare patches on fairways and around the greens. The course felt like it has seen better days.
Regarding the weather that day - dry and overcast on holes 1-7 and intermittent rain from then on.
Because golfers were still out playing the course would not offer a raincheck so we played on. NOT HAPPY about that lack of customer service.
But, overall a fun experience and a decent value.
Mid week Adventure
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The starter had tips on the course Was grateful that there was a drink cart as our water went quickly and it was really hot. Course had some few dry spots but considering the weather, it was totally understandable. Great value for the cost.
Hot but not unbearable
Teed off at 10:36 on the hottest day of the year, but if you stayed in the shade of the numerous trees, it wasn't too bad. Course is very lush and beautiful with all the recent rain. The rough was thick and difficult to find your ball and then hit it. Traps were baked and mostly hard. My biggest complaint is that there is absolutely no drinking water on the course and no cart girts. Anyone playing here needs to bring their own beverages. The bar is fine after the round, but we were dieing during the round.
Played 9
Tough greens, fun course, was tough to walk, very hilly
Decent course but rough maintenance
Green were a little thick and hard to tell the difference between the fairways and the rough.
Bad pace and poor conditions
I was disappointed with playing conditions - the greens were in rough shape and a lot of bare spots on the fairways. There was a very slow foursome a head of us, and not a ranger in sight to keep them moving. The guy at the clubhouse didn’t say anymore than three words to me. Cary CC has potential to be a decent course if they put some heart into it. $44 as a hot deal during the week is way too much. Overall, this is disappointing because I’m local, and have been playing here for 20 plus years
Great and fairly easy course
CCC is a great course to play whenever you like, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the course. One of my favorites in the area
