City Golfing
It's the only 18 hole course in the city.. Staff is friendly, there was no cart attendant on Sunday and without a turn near the club house you can get hungry/thirsty. Its average at best but allows you to get a round in without traveling to the burbs. I would recommend to a friend with the above qualifications.
Nicely maintained city course
Super friendly staff and relatively wide greens for a city course. The pace can sometimes be slower because it draws a wide range of skill levels, but we always enjoy the round! Note that for later tee times, you might have to return your cart before you finish.
Odd course layout and weird people working there
18 hole course and hole 10 does not coincide with the turn and does not lead you back to the club house, so be prepared with food and water at the start for a long a round. You will not be getting anything after hole 3/4, which is the last time you see the club house before hole 18. They also rob you blind with cart fees. $17 a person, for a single cart, is ridiculous. I pay less at nicer courses out in the suburbs. The pace of play was atrocious for how short the course is. The ranger also refused to do anything about it, admitting “there are groups ahead of you playing for money, so I will not be telling anyone to speed up.” Like what…? Kind of ridiculous.
Interesting experience
There was a festival or concert across the street so it was very noisy. The system was also down, so we couldn’t rent a cart and had to walk the full 18. They pulled the pin on a hole while we were on the approach to it mid-course and it wasn’t even very late or dark yet. Also had people ride on lime scooters through the middle of the course at one point? It was surely an interesting experience…
Ranger does not keep pace
Play here often. Last round was way too long. Group in from was waiting for every green to clear before teeing off. Two of them were long hitters, the other two should not have been waiting. They just were chatting and standing around instead of playing. I decided to quit and leave early because of it. Convenient course, just plan for 6hr round
Mistake Golf Course
Unfortunately I made the tee time thinking it was for Jackson Park in Seattle Washington. I’m asking if you could reverse the charge on my card for the $36 that I blew with this tee time in the wrong state
Slow day
We had a 4pm tee time. After 4 hours, we had just finished the 14th hole and decided to leave as the sun was going down. Incredibly slow pace of play with the rangers seemingly doing nothing about it.
Still my go to
Taj in the shop is fantastic and all the starters work hard. Would be great with pace of play ACTIVELY was monitored and enforced and some actual sand in the bunkers. Otherwise you can’t beat the value.
