Golf Advisor: Top 25 Courses for Pace of Play in the U.S. (2021 #8)
Reviews
Much Improved from 10 years ago
If you haven't played here recently give it another try.
My only problem is Golf Now double charged me for the foursome and getting a refund is proving difficult.
For a retired guy a $200 overcharge is a big deal so watch them close.

$29.99 hot deal on a Friday at 10:50 am. For those of us looking to play up north and not cough up a lot of money, this was the winner. Great condition, pace of play and location.
Beautiful well maintained course
The course is in great shape and is great value for the money. Practice facilities are ok, but location of driving range can mess you up on the fairway that runs behind it if you stray from the fairway. Very difficult to find yourball amongst all tje range balls. Also, know that there is no food at the turn after 1pm! We were fortunate the employee managing the offiice was willing to put a few dogs on and bring them to us on the 12 th hole.
Bathrooms need cleaning
The course was in good shape and the staff are very friendly. The front nine is tight and the back nine is wide open. Pace of play was great till I finished 15th. The group in front was extremely slow and didn’t offer me (single) to play though. When I say slow , it took them to 30 minutes to play hole 16th ( par 4) . I gave up after 16th.
Nice course
The front nine is tight. Lots of iron shots off the tee. The back nine is very wide open.
Okie Golfer
This was my first time playing this course and I thought it was absolutely fantastic playing conditions, I will definitely play this course again when I come back to Michigan.
Hidden Gem
Great little course with variety. The front and back 9's are different but enjoyable. The greens were wonderful and the staff very friendly. Will definitely play again.
Course way overbooked, no marshal for pace of play !
They over booked this course and there was no marshal ensuring pace of play.
On a par 4 there was literally 4 groups on the same hole. One group on the green, another in the fairway, seniors on the red tee, waiting to tee off, and our group on the white tee box.
We decided to bypass that hole and go to the next, but only played two holes on the back nine before ending the round, and at that point it was over 3 hours to play 10 holes as we skipped one on the front nine as well.
It’s a cheap and fun practice course normally, but not anymore !
Relaxing game
Course is well maintained and beautiful. A few challenges for less experienced players - but overall a fun course.
Bellaire Centennial is in very god shape
Booked a last minute hot deal for 34 bucks. A steal and I played 18 in 2 hours and 15 minutes.....yes 215. With the Shanty Creek resort courses packed to the gills this front nine forested back nine parkland was empty on a perfect cool sunny Friday afternoon. Full driving range for warm up, proshop and restauran/bar with a nice outdoor deck. The Farm may be tight in places but is a scenic northern Michigan journey for mostly the local folks in the know. I hadn't played here in 15 years but I know I will return again soon when I'm back in the area. They switched the nines but it works as the first nine is short tight and sporty....the back nine a a few long ones after you've warmed up a bit. A rare par 3 start. Very pleasant yet challenging course with some turtleback and front to back slopes on the greens. For the life of me why play the Shanty courses when this is in good shape and emplty to boot. If shouldn't be and if want to get in an extra round before or after a round aT Shanty you should be able to. RECOMMEND AND PLAY IT!!!
