Sunset view of 13th green. Hardest, longest hole in the golf course. Green is deep, look where the pin is Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

17th green. Three tiered with two sections guarded by water. You end up on the wrong third of the green and you may have to putt through some fringe or chip over some rough WITH YOUR BALL ON THE GREEN in order to reach the right tier. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

Left of the 1st green. Tee shot is 40 to 50 feet downhill and approach shot is slightly uphill again. The entire green slopes from back left to front right. Do not go in the left bunker especially with this pin placement. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

Great final round of the year
Had the first tee time of the morning. No tee box markers so had guess where to tee off from, made it difficult since first time playing. Layout from getting hole to hole was a little weird, the turn getting back to the pro shop was quite the drive. But course was in good shape considering the time of year.
Beautiful Course “Up North Feel”
Great course and value for the money. Lots of elevation change and dramatic hole layouts. Tee times are a little close together, but golf anywhere nowadays is busy no matter where you go.
Frustrating
On arrival course looked busy there was an outing on. Was stuck behind 3 golfers who could not hit the ball far but insisted on waiting until each person had played their shot before the next got out of their cart to take the shot. Course staff were pleasant and said we could skip holes in order to keep up the pace of play. unfortunately, there were very few gaps. Round took 5.30 hours to complete.
Course is nice. Staff and pace of play was a joke. We were paired up with another 2some. While we were in paying the starter told our other 2 guys it would be a miracle if we showed up and let 2 foursomes out in front of us. Then was rude and argued with us about letting them all go in front of us. Had to wait 25 minutes after our tee time to tee off. No rangers out making people hurry up or pick up the pace. 5 and a half hour round. Should be ashamed of themselves and isn't worth $75 if that's how they run the place.
Top Course
Fun, challenging layout
Beautiful views
Fast greens
This course is one of my favorites and I would recommend anyone to go play there.
SLOW PLAY
It took 4 hours to play 11 holes !! We were paired with another couple who bailed after the first 2 holes took an hour. After the 9th hole we saw the ranger and told him about the foursome in front of us that were taking 30 minutes a hole and he said he didn't realize they were playing slow and proceeded to drive the other way. On the par 3 10th hole the group teed off from the old tee boxes that didn't exist anymore and then figured out it was a par 3 and played the hole over again. On #11 they were parked on the top of the hill for 20 minutes, when we drove up to see what was going on the guy was looking for balls in the woods while the 3 others were waiting for him on the green !! That was all we could take. We left and when my partner went into the clubhouse to complain they were unconcerned. I WILL NEVER PLAY THERE AGAIN !!!!
Would definitely play again!!
I had not played Devil's Ridge in probably 10-15 years. Back then, it was a very difficult course to manage. Blind shots, Island landing areas in the middle of the fairway. For the average golfer and even some advanced players, it made the round very frustrating. I definitely love the changes they have made!(not sure how long ago). Still a challenging course, but a reasonable challenge for every skill level! Definitely going to play again.
Very nice course !
Other than not accepting credit cards on the turn in the building between , holes 9-10 or by the cart Girl, so that kinda stunk but shame on me for not carrying cash , the rest was fantastic.
Slow
Got a tee time expecting to play 18. Course was so loaded up was only able to play 14. Started at 5:54, would like to think we could play 18 in 3.5 hours. Will never come back again.
Devils Ridge
Course was great but very slow pace of play. There was already 2 groups waiting on the 2nd hole. Round took about 5 hours.
Slow play, but fun time.
I enjoyed the coarse very much, but the play time was slow. The staff was friendly and the coarse played nice as usual. The greens do present a challenge but the length of the coarse is good for my wife as the ladies get a big advantage on most holes and played just over 4000 yards for her.
