Silvies Ranch "The Experience" Package

Escape to a 140,000-acre working ranch in eastern Oregon home to one of the most innovative golf course routings in the country. With this exclusive package, golfers enjoy two nights' accommodations at Silvies Valley Ranch, a rental car to get there, unlimited golf with cart and range balls, meals and a special non-golf activity. Players can play rounds on the reversible Craddock and Hankins courses every other day and squeeze in even more golf on the 9-hole Chief Egan short course or McVeigh's Gauntlet, a 7-hole extreme course where goats serve as caddies. Each guest receives their own golf cart to drive to and from the clubhouse perched high on a hill. After golf, enjoy a spa treatment or try shooting, fishing or a more expansive ranch tour. Dinners are served family style with guests gathering each night at a large table to toast the joys of such a unique golf destination.

Those willing to take on this adventurous trek to the high desert will discover, arguably, the most unique outpost in golf, a place where golf shoes and cowboy boots are equally welcome. Name another golf resort that considers goat herding, stargazing, Polaris Razor tours, bird watching, shooting “peacemaker” pistols and cattle drives as leisure pursuits. Adding to the intrigue is a reversible course, an imaginative routing of 27 greens and multiuse tees and fairways by Oregon architect Dan Hixson.
