Way over priced for the conditions

Way over priced for the conditions. Fairways were bare, burnt and brown, greens were spotty. Staff warned us we were playing slow although the next group was 2 holes behind.
It's a $60 course at the most. won't go back at $125 price.

I played the day after and did not see the same conditions that you did. We are playing at 9000 feet with the best scenery around. Mountain elevations create some of the toughest conditions for grounds crews, maybe we could cut them some slack.

Beautiful Golf Course in a Beautiful Place

Beautiful mountain golf course with spectacular views and truly dramatic elevation changes on a number of holes. From tips, yardage is almost 6,900 with a par of 71, so not daunting length for a course at this altitude, but a good mix of holes, very well-designed and well-maintained. While i rated staff friendliness as "dismissive," a more descriptive word would be "indifferent," at least in my experience. However, i tend not to let that detract from a course's rating. In this case, my overall course rating would be about 4.5 or so; i scored it a "4" really only because right now the fairways are less than "5" (but certainly not bad) due to apparently fairly recent aeration, and the greens, while they putted very well, were too firm & sandy (also from apparent aeration, though seemingly longer ago than the fairways) to be receptive enough to score "5." But without hesitation, i would recommend / return, and could support an overall "5" rating if/when the course is in what i imagine to be its normal condition.

A very enjoyable mountain course.

Had not played the course for awhile and was pleasantly surprised that it had matured very well. Greens were softer.

All I can say, with the beauty of CO and it's landscape, it was awesome.

Built into a mountain with the Snake River running thru and Lake Dillon in view it was kind of hard to concentrate on the golf. Camreas required......
The elevation changes on the course and it's scenery are very picturesque. From the view off the first tee to a roller coaster finish (16-18) you will enjoy!!
It is a fun golf course, very fair and also challenging.
The property's staff are very friendly, informative and accommodating
Slow play may occur due to all the vista's one encounters.

What a fun course with beautiful views!

The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The views were breathtaking even with the occasional rain conditions. It was our most favorite course of the three we played on our vacation in Summit County.

Best condition ever this summer. Great course!

I've played Keystone Ranch several times this summer but I still can't get through 18 holes without a blowup or two. Today it was holes 1 and 3. But I still love the course.
Keystone Ranch is the older of the two Keystone 18 hole courses. It's a perfect compliment to The River Course at Keystone. Part of your challenge in playing The Keystone Ranch is finding it! From I-70 follow Highway 6 through Dillon past The River Course at Keystone. Take a right on West Keystone Rd. Follow the signs to the Ranch Course across the Snake River. Take a right on Soda Ridge Rd then a left on Keystone Ranch Rd just before the Keystone Stables. Follow this up a steep slope past some great River Course back nine holes then down through the Ranch Course entrance sign (see photo#. You'll see the quaint old log Ranch House #this is a super restaurant and the Ranch Pro Shop#. Keystone Ranch offers 4 tee boxes #blue, white, gold and red# to fit your game.
The Keystone Ranch Course opens with a tree lined par 5 and par 4 similar to The River Course. But the remaining 16 holes are a beautiful mix of Scottish links and mountain meadow holes. #3 is a blind uphill dogleg right par 4 protected by an old Lodgepole Pine sitting in the front, right sandtrap .

An exciting shot from an elevated tee on #4 drops you to the meadow for the remainder of the front nine. #5 plays 190 yds from the tips #blue tees# and provides a glimpse of Keystone Ranch's history with the weathered old barns and ranch equipment backing this shallow green.
#9 is a reachable par 4 with a heavy dose of risk/reward opportunities for those daring to carry a large pond and a marshland inlet from an elevated tee.
The front nine has 29 bunkers while the back has a staggering 41. #10 throws you into these challenges. It's a long par 4 and the number 1 handicap hole. You'll learn that most balls break away from Westridge #on your east) toward the west and down the valley toward Buffalo Mountain and the Gore Range.....regardless of what you think you read.
#18 is a classic finishing par 5 with a required carry over water and marshland off the tee to a fairway skirting the large pond.

Most spectular views I have ever seen!

My husband and I were on vacation in Breckenridge and The River Course at Keystone was recommended to us numerous times. We were able to get a good rate by booking through Golf Now. Interesting thing is that the weather was horrible, cold and rainy, and we still had a great experience. The staff including the desk staff, starter, bag help, waitress in bar, and the "players' assistant" were cheerful and went out of their way to provide us with towels and a dry cart! Even with the ugly skies, the views form each tee box and green were breathtaking. The sun broke out on hole 17 and 18 to give a taste of what it could look like. Also, even with the rain, the course was in incredible shape. We will absolutely return someday, and I would tell anyone who asked, "Do not miss this experience if you have the opportunity to golf it." Side note: bring a few extra balls! However, it is so gorgeous you won't mind losing a few!

The course has great scenery, and in great condition

The course is in great condition. I have a 13.4 index and played the Blue tees which was to long for me. The next time I will play the White tees which would play into my length better, and be more fun.

Beautiful course with great challenges.

Keystone River is full of beautiful vistas, elevation changes, and challenging greens that will keep your attention all round. Fairways are wide, but keep the ball out of the bunkers if you can. A very fun afternoon.

Worth the price

Beautiful layout in the valley with old rustic buildings and farm equipment scattered throughout the course. A difficult but playable course, greens were in great shape and every hole had wonderful views of the mountains.

Nice course if you are staying at Keystone

This is a nice course but it was an hour drive from Vail and frankly, there are nicer courses to play closer to Vail.
We were paired with a 2-some that played a lot slower than we are used to, so we fell way behind. Since no one ever came up behind us, I think the pro shop could have let us go off as a 2-some instead of putting us with those guys.
