About Chateau Elan Winery & Resort

Chateau Elan Winery & Resort is a golf resort located in the North Georgia mountains to the northeast of the Atlanta metro area in Braselton. This 3,500-acre estate is home to a nearly 300-room and suite resort (with a collection of villas as well), winery and four golf courses (one of which is accessible to members only). In addition to two 18-hole resort courses, there is a 9-hole executive course. The resort completed a $25 million enhancement project in September, 2020, the first major renovation since the property opened in the 1980s. The lobby was entirely redesigned and there are four new dining concepts. Additional activities at Chateau Elan include an outdoor pool, tennis courts and culinary studio.

Nice course.

First time playing this course. Just getting a practice round in before this Saturday. Tournament location for Golfweek Am. Atlanta. Overall the course was in great shape.There were some holes that required precise tee shots or you will get blocked out on the next shot. Played long because of the rains. The only thing I didn’t like was the non repair of the pitch marks. Can’t stand that.

Enjoyed the round!

Overall was a great day on the links, pace was excellent ~4hrs, staff was awesome as usual & the course was in decent shape. Couple of opportunity areas -- par 3 tee boxes are a bit chewed up with limited grass & bunkers are in need of reconstruction as they are showing the tarps. Finally, greens were good but still showing some signs of the aeration from last month.

Fun and nice course but hard to find

Great short course to practice the wedges. Hard to find. You have to go to the main Chateau Elan course and get a pin and then drive back to the par 3 course and go in the gate. Greens and sand were real nice

Golf course was very nice bunkers could use some sand. Lot of liners showing. Club house was very nice. Love the layout of the course very challenging. Cons the GM of the place a a rude short guy. Very expensive rate for recently punched greens.

Challenging layout but not impressed

Greens still recovering from aeration, tee boxes in disrepair w lots of bare spots, w 15th hole tee box home party next to it was disruptive and uncomfortable to say the least, loud music and confrontational environment. Not impressed at all for the price paid

Woodlands Delivers

This is a solid course on its own and complements the Chateau course quite well. It’s more demanding than Chateau and conditions have improved with the ongoing improvements to the resort property.
