the tips are on beautiful grasses. I have never seen a tip about hitting a chip from an uneven lie around the green. I live in the Northeast and the grass around the greens is never perfectly manicured. Can you do a tip about hitting chips from a "non perfect lie"
Should weight favor the front side on this shot?
I am a 1 handicap but I can’t hit the one bounce and stop chip/approach shot. What are the yardages I should be trying to hit this shot and how to perform it. Thanks for this video it reaffirms that the hands and club face exit left.
Hello John, you typically need at least 30 yards to hit the one bounce and stop wedge shot. Make sure your club face is perfectly clean and that you have a dry lie with the ball sitting cleanly. Moisture is the enemy, whether that be grass before contact or dew in the mornings.

Hello Edward, if you are on closely mown turf, then you could use a stronger loft and land the ball short of the green, bump and run style. If the rough is thick, then you'll need one of your most lofted clubs.
when using my 60 or 58 degree I have a tendency to pop it up and not get the runout your getting?
Hello Mike, my guess is that your body stops turning and you deliver too much loft. Keep the chest and hands rotating and you'l deliver some shaft lean and a stronger face, so the ball spins more and flies lower.

When a small miss doesn't get me in trouble. Otherwise, conservative aim is always better.

Richard, same technique. Harder to be precise? Yes, but don't panic because the lie is tight. Control the process and you'll have better outcomes.
Can you provide the chipping basics for the tighter lie and a little more severe of an uphill lie? I find the weight goes back and the club bottoms out a little further back so how do you compensate and not dig or skull? Thank you!
