OFFICIAL STATEMENT From Danzante
Dear Member & Guests:
Danzante Bay community and golf course, prides itself to be a fully sustainable development. Our wonderful location requires conscientious steps and protocols for the environment. Danzante Bay makes potable water from the sea using desalination, which cleans the used water at our treatment plant that exceeds the requirements provided by the federal environmental agency.
During these last summer months, the region experienced a combination of extreme heat and a large hurricane as never before.
Our beloved golf course felt the impact immediately, even with the strong materials used in the construction, making damage to the fairway and rough areas. Fortunately, we have kept the tees and greens in excellent condition and over the next several months, we are committed to restore the course to its original condition.
This restoration process involves reseeding fairways and rough on many of the holes. While all 18 holes will be open, at times, we may turn some of the par 4’s into par 3’s so we can allow the new seed to germinate and become healthy while at the same time allowing golfers to experience the greens on those holes.
The desalination plant system has also been upgraded to ensure it will produce enough water with the correct quality as needed.
Our agronomy engineers are working extensively to bring the course back in perfect TPC quality condition as soon as possible. Equally important, we have adjusted the processes to the new environmental challenges, so this situation may never happen again. Because of the maintenance procedures now taking place, if a member or resort guest would like to play golf between now and Dec 31, 2023, we will offer a 50% discount off our normal golf rate.
We will provide a monthly update on our web and social media to keep our members and guests informed on our progress.
Thank you for your understanding.

A Favorite
This is one of my favorite courses ANYWHERE. Fantastic scenery, wonderful service and one of the most spectacular view holes (#17) you’ll ever play. I always stop here to golf when driving to Cabo.
Right now, they’re struggling to recover some fairways. Greens are great, but some fairways are a bit thin. Fully covered, but still growing back. Even so, it’s such a hidden gem I’d play it in these conditions and be happy.. I’ve heard it may go private so play while you can.You won’t regret it!
TPC Dezante Bay Oct2023
The course is amazing, hands down if you are in the area you must play it. However, right now the course is unplayable. They had an issue with the watering system and the whole course for the most part is browned out. I don't know how long it will take them to get the grass back on the course. You have to call ahead of time and find out where they are with the process. Once the course is back to normal it's a must play. The natural beauty of the layout is stunning, just a beautiful course. It's a darn shame we went all that way and couldn't experience the course in all it's natural splendor. The staff and everything else about the experience is first class., you just need to wait until the grass grows back.
Golf course in bad shape, low maintenance
This course used to be one of my favorites, but not any more, fairways are in bad shape, bunkers with a very little of sand and careless, tee boxes also in bad shape
Price is too high for what it is right now. If you plan a trip of golf to danzante bay think twice before you come. Judge with the photos I attach
The perfect day! On the perfect course
If you could craft a perfect day of golf, what would you request? Danzante Bay is just that. The course is not super busy and maybe by choice this makes the experience much more personal. There is no rush. Take your time, study each shot and absorb the stunning beauty that is around you constantly. Our morning had no wind and the temperature was a perfect 80F. The experience gently pressures your game to be its best and the conditions respond. Practice facilities were first class and from the first hole to the last each hole was a carefully crafted challenge of golf. Small squirrels kept us company on every hole along with geckos and one cardinal who was brilliant red. The experience culminated on the 17th hole with the most breathtaking cliff shot in golf onto a small slender green seemingly separated from the mainland perfectly. I can’t wait to play again! My wife rode along free of charge with me on this adventure!
Price outrageous
As members of the resort it is very disappointing the price to play this course. We specifically purchased our timeshare here because of the golf course. However with the price increasing drastically each year it’s out of range for us Canadians with the dollar exchange. At the current rate of $238 US per round currently on golf now it would cost Canadians $320 for a round of golf. I THINK NOT!!!!!
A little disappointed
I have golfed Danzante several times, There price has steadily increased for the past 4 years, but we decided to treat ourselves..I don't feel charging full rate ($240 USD) for a course with top-dressed greens and patchy fairways. I understand the need for ongoing course maintenance, but either let golfers know in advance, or offer a discount. So - a bit disappointed. Beautiful course regardless.
Gorgeous course.
This course is probably the best I have played. Some fairways were developing some bare spots which weren’t there last year. Course was overpriced as evident by the lack of people playing it. Will probably not golf this again unless prices change.
Fantastic course! Truly a hidden and upcoming gem!
We visited Loreto for the first time this past week and played the course 3 times. Easily the most scenic course I’ve played with a well designed layout and friendly staff. Assistant pro Richy went above and beyond to help us get set up for a proper round. Great food and drink on the turn and the course was in perfect shape! Will be back to play again!
Spectacular!
Course is as good as advertised! Gorgeous views from every hole including the iconic 17th. Layout is great, not too challenging. Greens were a bit slow and for $200+ round I would expect carts to have GPS. Other than that no complaints! Will definitely be coming back soon!
Don and Gail Gunstone
Love the course just getting too high priced. Love to play more-at least once a week-we live in Loreto-but at $2,006.20usd for one month of golf is just a lot. We thus will not play anymore and drive to LaPaz.
Ps the golf membership is just not that appealing either
A Bit of a Nightmare!
We arrived at the course at 9:30, and finished at 4:30. First we were behind a father, and his 2 small children with boombox. They let us play through..great! Then we were behind a group of 6 with 3 carts. Come to find out there were 4 players, a coach, and a photographer. They also has the beverage cart following them the entire round. They would not let us through. The Marshall came twice, and the golf.pro checked in....his response...stop hitting it down the middle. They both thought the group had no right to go so slow, and not let us through. But after they went and talked to the group, they did nothing to help us play through. My mother is 86, and I was treating her to a round....she loved the course, but after 5 hours we were so tired of standing, and waiting to hit. It is a short course, and I usually play it in 3 to 3 1/2 hours, so 5 plus hours was way too long. There needs to be people that know, and will.run a golf course effectively.
Great but price is getting to high
Tee off had mid morning discounts- now no discounts and they say price is going up. Not good. Out of my price range $210 now-ouch
Course is always in immaculate condition! Danny, the club pro, is first class! My favorite golf course in Latin America and maybe even the Western Hemisphere!
