Baywood Greens

Course was great. Lots of fun holes and lots of trouble lurking on each hole. It rained the day before at 5pm, and we teed off at 1:30pm the next day with cart path only. Maybe call ahead and see if cart path only if it has rained recently.

Gorgeous course, we’ll maintained, and the flowers are ridiculous. The course is a fair test, large greens but fair. Traps in great condition which seems rare these days. Even twilight rates in season are a lot, we usually ply here offseason. Still a value for the money compared to what you get at lesser courses for the same money.

So, the course may not win praise for design or clever layouts but, the conditions on this course are going to be the finest you will see at a public course. The ornamental landscaping alone has to be a preposterous amount to maintain. I’ve had one bad experience in a bunker due to no sand, the back bunker on the par five sixteenth, I shouldn’t have been in there anyway.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the pace of play has always been excellent, I’ve walked the course twice this year. I mean the only downside is they use those 80% balls on the range, but I’m there to warm up not work something out.

This is the best course in Sussex County by far, the conditions are always top shelf. The bunkers seems to have been replenished this season, the greens are receptive the folks are super friendly and helpful. I walked 18 and the pace was under four hours, you can’t believe the conditions and course.

You will never be disappointed playing this course. Every aspect is above par.

I went on vacation to Delaware in May '22 and played 3 courses. Baywood, Bayside, and the Rookery. Baywood was the best course, by a good margin. Bayiside also had a nice and challenging layout, but Baywood was in much better shape overall. I do need to preface this by saying that Baywood was one of the best kept courses I've ever played on so far. So my previous comment was less of a shot at Bayside than it was an appraisal of Baywood. I mention this because I went back and fourth on which of the 2 courses I wanted to prioritize playing (Bayside v Baywood), and if you're reading this also trying to decide between the 2 absolutely prioritize Baywood.

Everyone at the course was super friendly from the moment we arrived. The practice set up is great, with a driving range, putting green, and chipping area all right by the clubhouse. The layout of the course was also very fun and a challenge for all levels. The thing that stands out most about this course is how well it's maintained. The fairways, rough, bunkers, and greens are all in pristine shape. We arrived too early for the flower arrangements, but we could tell that they would make for a great aesthetic, especially on 18 and one of the par 3's,whosee number escapes me at the moment.

Definitely play this course, if I get back to Delaware I will certainly be revisiting this one!

Phenomenal course. Really beautiful and well maintained. Fun but challenging for a mediocre golfer like myself.

Parkland and Water Course proved equally challenging and fun. Lovely golf course, garden scenery very well maintained. A pleasure indeed.

This is a five star golf course. Monday the greens where not up to standard for Baywood greens, the price was however at peak for the season. No flowers out and that's always a big draw for me. The people are awesome. The sprinkler at the 18th green randomly went off and soaked us while walking to the green. Spoke to pro shop guy and he said sorry. I'll play here again but today was not the normal experience

Outstanding course and area. Well maintained and lady friendly. Interesting holes. Would definitely come back to golf.

Loved the course. Greens had been aerified recently and the ground was dry, so the greens were bumpy. Otherwise, it was in excellent condition. Will definitely play there again.
