About Casino del Sol
Casino del Sol is a AAA Four-Diamond property in Tucson, Arizona owned by the Pascua Yaqui Native American Tribe. The main resort features over 200 rooms and suites, large casino floor with live games (including Bingo, poker and table games) and a resort-style pool. In addition to the main resort, the property also features the new, smaller Estrella hotel, adjacent to the main resort and has its own pool, as well as an RV park. Located onsite is Sewailo Golf Club, designed by Notah Begay and home to the University of Arizona golf teams. It is a past recipient of the Golf Advisor Golfers' Choice Top 50 U.S. Courses as well as Best Collegiate Courses and the facility features its own extensive practice facility and grill.Facts

Played in a cold wind. Told by the starter tj pay attention to the GPS so we didn't get in trouble. GPS did not work. It was stuck in hole 14. Sent 6 messages for a new cart which never came. Asked cart girl to let Pro shop know. Finally flagged down a marshal on #8 and who reset the GPS. Bad service .
Fun in AZ sun
We golfed with our friends and we all four loved the course. It was challenging at times but not to the point we got stressed out. The course layout was super. The carts had new GPS & a flyover feature of each hole so we could visualize landing spots.
Overall impression
Very nice course in great condition. Only reason not a 5 star in all categories was the dormant roughs which is probably unfair in January
Fun Track- but load up on balls!
This course is a must play but only for intermediate and higher skilled players. Even though it’s considered a ‘resort course’ and has the necessary choices of t boxes to accommodate some no ‘force carry’ drives, some of the fairways and shots into the greens require precision and accuracy most 20hdcp. And higher wouldn’t be able to execute. Even with a great approach shot, the greens often slope towards hazards- either sand or water- which there is in abundance on this course- hence the need for extra balls.
Good shape
The greens were very good. I putted like I was blind but the greens were very good. Tee boxes were in good shape but grass was a bit long but by no means a big deal. The biggest eyesore and condition problem was the bunkers which get mentioned a few times on here. I would definitely play again.

Great as usual
It was a cold day but the course was in fan condition as usual! There is one little thing... I've heard lots of players (myself included) complain about distinguishing the Jade and Opal tee markers. Could we pick two more distinguishing colors? Even just make one white! Thanks.
