About Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort
Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort is a historic hotel, golf course and sports academy 45 minutes south of Phoenix-Scottsdale. The hotel and golf course is on the campus of Grande Sports World, a training destination for youth and national teams. The property was founded by Horace Stoneham, the owner of the San Francisco Giants, and opened in 1959. There is an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, while guest rooms are standard rooms and suite accommodations. The golf course was designed by Ralph Plummer and can stretch to over 7,500 yards from the championship tees.Facts

Greens have seen better days.
The course is good and we always enjoy playing it but some of the greens need some TLC.
Throwback 1960’s Golf Course !
Enjoyed my first experience at this Throwback 1960’s Golf Course . Played from the Back Tee’s (7,500 yds) which is the longest in the state of AZ. No Room for error from here. Course conditions could be improved, but the price of admission is reasonable for what you get including New Carts ! Be sure to visit the Restaurant “Dukes” before or after your round !
Good course
Greens were good, fairways a bit wet but we had early Teetime so not dried yet.
Good for practice
In decent shape. Good for practice and most greens are nice.
Windy
Played here twice this week and very windy both times. Fairways are dry and hard. Greens hard and fast. The course is "AVERAGE" and what you would expect for the price. Do wish they had a marshall as 3 older men in front of us were playing Blue tees and hitting driver 150 yds. All 6 of their "over water" P3 shots were wet! Talked to foursome behind us and they said "no problem, they would just pace behind us!
Awful
Tee boxes and fairways are dirt, greens are ok on most holes , the only good thing was the pace of play considering it was busy but I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time or money playing here.

Great layout. Course is getting in better shape every week we golf there .,but they need to address ground squirel problems
Enjoyable round
Pace of play was good staff were friendly . Although the course could use some TLC totally look forward to enjoying our round
