Hotel with history behind it!! Photo submitted by Shypoke55 on 04/22/2019
Great Value
Course is in great condition and greens roll true. Challanging track from Black or Copper tees.
Hidden Gem
Terrific course about 1 hour south of Phoenix. Undulating, with enough trees and well-maintained traps to make for a moderately challenging round.
Slow play
Today’s round was 4.5 hours WAY too long. The group behind us was rather inconsiderate to start. Constantly driving up to the tee box right when we were about to hit. Chattering away. They eventually backed off. There was NO WHERE to go. Slow slow slow. Played the other day here and pace was fantastic. Oh well. We will stay be back next year!
Thanksgiving Day Play
Course is coming along fine and greening up nicely. very few people on the course made pace of play excellent which is not always that way.
Enjoyed the course very much
Friendly staff, well organized. Adam is always a pleasure, never to busy for a word or two. Like design of course, in good shape, the sand bunkers are in extremely good shape and sand very consistent. Will be playing the course a lot this winter and bringing my Colorado guests.
Beautiful area
We love to play at ‘Frannie’ each year we come here. Love the layout and the challenges. Also love the laughing ducks on 16 hole.
Great Value
Enjoyable golf course. Great pricing and friendly staff and service.
Getting better
I’ve seen solid improvement in the course since last year. Keep up the good work.
Over seeding done
The overseeding is coming in fine the greens are looking great. The course could still use a little clean up of trees and branches. The sand traps still need more work. Probably the worst condition is the tee boxes that need to be mowed lower, but are waiting for the over seeding to take hold. The fairways grass is coming in better every day.
The course is showing its age, but a great value for the money.
This course will test you if you don’t hit it straight.
The greens are usually small with bunkers protecting them.
Should be in in a week or two.
Lots of wet areas and long and uncut tee boxes and fairways. The greeter/starter could be more helpful and less grumpy. I ask him what cart to take and he said none it was too early. I walked with my clubs and cooler to the driving range. 5 minminutes later he came over with a cart and said go now. This was 20 minutes early before my tee time and I hadn’t hit even half of the balls I paid for. The couple that he put me with also commented on his attitude.
They quit after 16 holes due to slow play and we a little overwhelmed by the course.
