About Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort
Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort is a historic hotel, golf course and sports academy 45 minutes south of Phoenix-Scottsdale. The hotel and golf course is on the campus of Grande Sports World, a training destination for youth and national teams. The property was founded by Horace Stoneham, the owner of the San Francisco Giants, and opened in 1959. There is an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, while guest rooms are standard rooms and suite accommodations. The golf course was designed by Ralph Plummer and can stretch to over 7,500 yards from the championship tees.Facts

Overall the golf course is in tough shape. With the lack of water from water supply line breaks, gopher holes, and greens that appear to have some type of fungal issue, play was effected y the conditions.
We like the course a lot but are concerned about the recovery work that is sorely needed.
Hello and thank you for your review from your recent round of golf. We realize the course is currently in substandard condition for the reasons you explained. We had two pumps stop working during over-seeding which led to the spotty conditions. The pumps have been repaired, and we are working diligently to get the course back up to par. We hope to see you return in the future under better conditions. Thank you
Friendly staff
The course called and told me they had temp greens on 2 holes and would be reducing the pric3 to compensate for it. I was thrilled that they would do that on their own. Had a great day

Hello and thank you for your recent review! We realize the course is currently in substandard condition and are working hard to get it back to par. The greens on #10 and #17 have reopened and are in good shape. They will be a bit slower than the others for another week until they can cut them down. We hope to see you in the future! Thanks again
Poor condition
Tee boxes terrible.
Fairways average at best.
Greens some dirt and some grass, very bumpy.
I enjoyed the layout very much.

Tough summer
Everything was good except course condition. Water troubles so the course is a month behind.
Very Rough
Very poor conditions for entire course. Greens are lumpy.
Roughs are mainly weeds.
Fairways are dirt and some grass.
Tee's are unlevel.
I would avoid.
Lesthegolfer
The course is in very poor condition. The sprinklers were running on quite a few of the holes and we had to wait or manoeuvre around them. Lots of holes on the course and the tee boxes need attention. Will not play again. The staff were great.
Course not ready
Most of the tea blocks were in very rough shape front nine mostly greens had cancer and we’re very uneven lumpy back nine greens were a little better, but T blocks were either muddy with very little grass on them that matter all the tease like that thinking that this course had all summer to get things ready And I was in bad shape from last year
Overall Excellent
Greens were nice and putted well. The course is in very good shape and a pleasure to play.
Fun course
This is a fun course. I enjoy the length of it And there are some challenging holes. Old school feel and definitely a deal at $38 at 6:30 in the morning. Only two other sets of golfers out there with us.
