Historic JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn dates back to 1936 and is set on 125 acres at the base of Camelback Mountain. This 425-room and suite property in a pueblo-style features a spa, tennis courts, heated outdoor pools, garden terraces and desert hiking trails. Camelback Golf Club features two 18-hole courses, the Padre (designed by Arthur Hills) and Ambiente (by Dana Fry and Jason Straka). In addition to these championship courses, there is also a small pitch 'n putt golf course onsite. Dining is highlighted by Lincoln Steakhouse & Bar, while Rita's Cantina & Bar is more casual with a southwest flair. Spa and poolside dining is also available. The golf club has American cuisine at Acacia. Spacious guest rooms feature outdoor living spaces and kitchenettes. Onsite car rental is available as well as 127,500 square feet of meeting space is available for large groups.Facts

New Years Round
The course was in beautiful shape and bounced back extremely well after some issues last year with conditions... the staff is SUPER- friendly and accommodating. I always try to bring guest here as the course layout, conditions, views and staff are all one of my favorites in AZ
A nice example of renovation that doesn’t go overboard
Out-and-back golf course routings are typically associated with the coastal links of Scotland, Ireland and England, but Ambiente sends golfers on a northwest-then-southeast journey along two miles of Scottsdale’s Indian Bend Wash. Architect Jason Straka’s 2013 renovation added some much needed sense of lateral flow to what were previously mostly straightaway par 4s and 5s, hemmed in by the unusual dimensions of the property. Clever fairway bunkering and the angling of greens give golfers the urge to work several tee shots and approaches in one direction or another. Homes run between wash and homes without ever feeling cramped. The Facilities are excellent and the staff are world-class in graciousness.

Ambiente is a solid track was in great shape and very fairly priced for in season golf.
Nice course but overpriced
Staff was friendly and professional. Course was in great shape. Not super difficult. Lots of housing along the fairways, so not a classic desert experience. Priced as a premium desert course, but doesn't quite live up to it.

Wonderful cup of course. I was able to get on at 2 PM and finish within three hours and 15 minutes.

The greens are challenging, but if you're putting well, it's a lot of fun!!
Amazing Staff! Great Course!
The entire staff is what stood out. I had two tee times with family in town from Nebraksa. The staff was welcoming from the moment we pulled up. Helping with clubs, assuring carts had the correct bags on the carts. Golf course is always in great condition. Greens had some pace too them which compared to other public courses usually is a good. Thank you to your staff from start to finish making our day a fun one!

Camelback golf course will give you all that you could ever want. Spectacular!! Best in area. Will Play 5 days in a row and never be bored!! Play it you will not be disappointed!!
