Mountain Shadows Resort Scottsdale

Course description is inaccurate as they DO now have golf carts, so don't let that dissuade you. The course was in great shape(late February, 2024). Very nice par 54 layout with some small, challenging greens and pin placements. I cannot comment on pace of play as I was the second group out(as a single behind a twosome) and I chose to play three individual balls and not crowd the couple ahead of me. Guy behind me was doing the same thing but was 2 holes back. When I finished, there were lots of folks on the putting green waiting to get out. This is a great course to play money games on, but my hunch is that because a lot of people seemed to be waiting to be called to the first tee to do just that, the pace of play is likely on the slower side during peak hours. Staff was mostly attentive and friendly save one....no big deal, he just seemed aloof.

Even though it was challenging, it was in such good condition , it was good for my game. Without out doubt will play here again.

$90 for a round of golf on a Par 3 course and a $12 hot dog? I know I’m frugal but that’s ridiculous. PT Barnum had a line about fools and we got fooled. Oh well, even at 70 years old I have things to learn!

They should clarify this is a par 54 course for the price they charge would would expect a par 72 course

Positives: tremendous views and layout, greens/fairways in excellent condition, staff was wonderful, craziest greens I’ve ever seen

Cons: pace of play was slow early on, tee boxes were not in good shape, no food after 3pm

Course was in good shape, just so expensive for a par 54 course. Waited a while on every hole. 3:20 to play a short course. Friendly staff. Beautiful grass.

Terrible pace of play. No effort to move people along. Party central concept means golf etiquette is terrible but this apply a most public course.

I was in town for a quick visit and was able to sneak in a round. What a pleasant treat! Staff was very friendly and helpful as this was my first time here. Course is in great condition and the surrounding views are beautiful! A very relaxing round. Looking forward to my next visit!
