Barnsley Resort

Great layout, felt like a PGA tour layout, risk/reward, thoughtful, just fun to play. Par 3 hole 14 (I think) is absolutely gem of a hole, 200 yards downhill, water to the right, just beautiful.

Greens were super super fast and hard.

I was the first one out so pace of play was exceptional. Staff was very friendly. I just wish it was not so far away.

It can be expensive.

Beautiful golf course great layout. Over priced for the average golfer

This course is in a class by itself. Greens were perfect. Congrats to the greens keeper & the whole staff for making this round one of the best experiences I’ve had playing golf this year.

Nothing bad to say. Beautiful property, Great staff, Excellent practice/ warm up facilities. The price you pay to play Barnsley resort is on the higher end of public play , But if you like getting the bang for you buck this is how you do it. The condition was at professional/ Private club quality when I played. Lots of rain prior to my round and course still relatively dry. The greens are as advertised. GOOD LUCK!!!! Practically perfect!!! And they are LIGHTNING!!!!

We played in the late afternoon and it was a perfect day.

Great healthy turf. Fast and FIRM greens posed quite the challenge. This course is challenging off the tee as well. Not long, but strategic. Architecturally speaking the layout is not great, as there is a disproportionate amount of blind shots. Other than 1, 2, and the par 3’s, I dont think you can see the greens on your approaches hardly ever. Hard to tell whether pin is up or back usually.

Still, the course is so nice in conditioning and scenery.

The food in the grill is DELICIOUS!!

Excellent course. Tour greens, hard, firm and fast. All aspects of service was outstanding! Coming back from California in a few months and will play again.

Nice course expect to shoot a big number course is very hard.

Nicest public course in Georgia in my opinion. Pricy tee times but so worth it. The course provides free range balls with purchase of tee time and waters ice and sweat towel in the cart. Wonderful hospitality and overall best place to golf in all of georgia in my opinion.

Greens were just sanded. no card available with the hole layout.

other than that it was a nice experience.

It would have been nice to know the greens were punched recently and have barely started growing back.

We would have rated it higher, but the greens were just sanded. Probably be awesome in 4-5 weeks.
