Overrated!
$40 rate seems reasonable until you see that the sand traps have been neglected for several years, many are flooded with water year round and the sand washed out in others. Irrigation leaks are not addressed for months, some red tee boxes need sod, the range balls are extremely old and #18 pin is broken. It’s only $46 at the Robert Trent Jones Highland Oaks course in Dothan, AL and that course is always in professional-grade condition!
Links Golf…love it
The course layout and remote location truly make this one of my favorites. Cold and windy fall morning made this round even better. Course looks great keep up the good work. A+
Don’t Have High Expectations
The sand traps have been totally unplayable for 4 years. Several are always filled with water. Some tee boxes are worn out and difficult to push a tee into. Some of the fairways need aeration. And, some cart paths are broken up. Despite this, they’re raising their rates to $40, starting in November. The Robert Trent Golf Trail @ Highland Oaks in Dothan only charges $46.95 with purchase of their $45 Trail Card and their course is ALWAYS very well-maintained.
Links golf is the best
This course has an awesome layout, and the day I played the wind was howling, making it truly feel like links golf, which is both strange and amazing since the course is in GA :)
Good Good
Great layout, greens in good shape.
Fairways a little think in some areas. One of my favorite courses. Much fun
Excellent, Enjoyable Course
This was the first time I have played this course but it definitely won’t be the last; in fact I would play it regularly if it wasn’t a two hour drive one-way drive from home.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the course layout is very enjoyable; my only complaint is that the fairways were cut very unevenly.
Golf Outing with friends
The course was in great shape except for a few greens had a fungus which made putting impossible
Great Layout and beautiful
The course layout and aesthetics were beautiful. This course could be amazing with a few needed maintenance tweaks. The bunkers are the item needing the most work. The shape, style and location were awesome and challenging off the tee. They need serious maintenance. Greens had been recently aerated. Fairways were great. The rough was US open deadly. Saying all this, I will play every time I am in the area.
My Fav-A+
I’d play here every single week if I lived closer. Perfect day on the links yet again. Meadowlinks doesn’t disappoint
Fun track
Great condition, great layout for shot shaping and trying a few par 4s .
