Needs work
Been playing this course for years. Extremely consistent for many years until now.
Somehow lost their greens.
Won’t be back for a while. And I hate it because otherwise a great course.
Dead Greens
Tea boxes are OK, fairways are decent, but the greens are awful. They have spray them with something and killed every green on the course. I would not play this course again until next summer when they have had time to recover.
Underrepair
Every green, on the course is under repair, and they do not advertise or tell you that. I would not recommend coming here for a few months
Little Ocmulgee / Dukes Lodge
Wallace Adams/Little Oculmgee Never disappoints. I’ve been playing the course for years and have never found it to have any issues with exception to normal green maintenance. Grass is green throughout the course. Staff is extremely nice and actually gave me a rain check after my hand was not healed from an injury. I didn’t realize it until I went to the range and could not get my grip comfortable. So nice of them to do that. Our Class Reunion1985 Golf Trip is played here every year in October. So encourage everyone to use the golf packages because the lodging is great also. Many homes as well as reg hotel rooms to rent. Overall just a great place to play golf in South Ga.
Embarrassing course
The course is atrocious. The greens are sanded again, dead spots on greens, as well as holes, patches of dirt, and bumpy on the greens. Tee boxes not mowed, with weeds growing. A dead tree fell onto the course and still laying there. Fairways have patches of dirt and dead grass on every hole. This course use to be excellent. They are charging people $55 a round. It’s not worth $10 a round. Also they patched several greens and it’s uneven and not level. Don’t waste your money go somewhere else. Eastman Ga. is now much better course to play.
Nice layout Terrible greens
I have played this course before and it has reputation of being a good public course. I enjoy the layout of the course but the greens were in Terrible shape. It was not worth the money it cost to play the course and I will not be back anytime soon. Disappointing!
Friendly Animals
The course was great! Very well kept fariways and greens. These Bermuda greens in South Georgia are a little slower than what I am accustomed to. Pace of play was awesome.
I started right after a scramble and got around the course in less than 3 hours.
The Deer are very friendly.
Little Okmulgee
Little Okmulgee has a wonder golf course. The front nine is rather narrow with woods on either side, while the back nine is more open with elevation changes. Got a great deal from golfnow app. Only about $36 per person to play 18 holes with a cart. Great deal for such a nice course.
Pack a lunch
1 hour to wait for a cart delayed our start time. 2 groups on every tee box. Decent enough conditions and course lay out but not worth the effort and money. Apparently they don’t have a ranger or anyone to facilitate some semblance of order. Counter staff was super nice and friendly but again, not worth the effort to play here again
