LOVELY
This course is ABSOLUTELY one of the best. The course is in very good condition, with a few WEED spots. The only issue I had this day was the foursome ahead of me. They were playing as if they were the only ones on the course. I had waits of 10 minutes or more, NO ETIQUETTE AT ALL, what a SHAME. If you are in SE GA, and looking for a beautiful golf course to play a round of golf, OSPREY is a true delight. Keep up the AWESOME work.
good day in georgia
1st time visiting osprey cove and it didn't, disappoint.
yes, it was hot but the shape of the course made up
for it. in great shape and i played in 2:50. but i did play
by myself.
would definitely go back a play this course
Best Course in Southeast Georgia
John King and the staff at Osprey are outstanding. Very professional and courteous. I’m never disappointed when I play Osprey.
Course Conditions
When we arrived, it was over 90 degrees and sunny and we were informed it would be cart path only because the course was wet. We found only one hole that was even soft and no standing water anywhere. Our round took two hours longer than. Nor.al and we were physically exhausted from essentially having to walk the course for no reason. If they had told us before we drove 40 miles to get there, we would not have played. It was not fun.
Where’s the Marshall?
This course is my favorite one to play, but there’s no control over the tee times and homeowners just jumping on the course at will. It appears that homeowners or regulars here can just hop in a cart or grab their push cart and jump on the course. We met up with the staff before to identify the players before and after our start time, yet somehow a twosome snuck between and then when the foursome in front of us wasn’t playing as fast as the twosome desired, they just pushed ahead and teed off. I also played earlier in the week and was told there were no other times behind us for a bit, but again a group of six (which shouldn’t be allowed either) was hitting into us... obviously didn’t pay, or check in. So... where’s the Marshall??
Osprey Cove
Nicest and best maintained course in Kingsland/ St Mary’s. Greens play faster than near by courses. Staff in pro shop are very nice. Range included in price don’t have to pay extra for a bucket of balls. Overall very nice course would recommend it to almost anyone well worth the $$. I would play this course over and over again before any other course in Kingsland / St Marys. *****
Bad Bunkers
Course is in great shape, but the bunkers are terrible. They are inconsistent. You never know what you’re going to get. They shouldn’t be wet and hard. Need to be raked and sand needs to be added.
There’s no place like home!
This course is challenging, yet fun every time I play it. There’s a few soggy areas in the fairway on hole 5 where it’s just getting too much water, and a couple greens on the back nine are recovering.
Overall beautiful, well maintained and exceptional for the price! You won’t find another gem like this without paying another $25-$50 a round.
Osprey Cove
Great course, in great condition . Very picturesque . Would play again for sure.
Awesome all around
Pro was super friendly, service , staff , food and beverage and course 10 +++++++ thank you
Will be back soon
Great course
Beautiful course, challenging holes, well maintained.
Greens
Overall course is in nice shape but some edges around greens are loosing grass. . People are very nice at this club and range is one of the best in area.
Easter week
First time playing this venue. Staff was very friendly. Course was good, but greens were slow, 8 on stimp Meyer, with some bare spots. Regrassed the greens 2 years ago. Seems they are having issues with where the mowers scalp the high shoulders of greens. Newer club house, nice layout on golf course. Good value!
Good layout, very friendly staff, good condition for season. First time playing here but not the last.
Great Course
Great layout. Excellent condition for this time of year. Always play here when we are staying at St. Simons.
