Disappointing Round
Half of the tee boxes had no markers in place, and the 15th was very hard to find (senior and women's tees).
Sand boxes were atrocious.
Greens were reasonably good.
Sad but true
I’ve read such mixed reviews so decided to try this course again. Tee boxes and fairways were either flooded out or burned out but more brown than green. Greens were incredibly slow but in good shape. They definitely needed cut. Could hardly get a long putt to the hole all day. All the bunkers are neglected too. The layout is spectacular and there was a time this was the best course around by far. Sure hope they find their way back but the grounds crew seemed awfully sparse.
Terrible Condition
This may have been the worst condition I have seen a golf course. Terribly disappointing. To be charging this much for those conditions is embarrassing and WISP resort should be ashamed of themselves.
BP review Lodestone
Terrible conditions. No value for the dollars spent. Tee boxes and fairways 70-80% gone. Actually most Tee boxes were gone. Traps over grown and sand was terrible. Only item in good conditions were the greens.
A great course back in 2018-2021. What a shame, because this layout has it all. Head down the road to the new course in Deep Creek.
Sad
A great course 4 years back has now become one of the worst. The layout is still great but the fairways, tee boxes, and sand traps are garbage. No maintenance at all. Totally burned out. I can’t see this course making a turn. The only maintenance done is on the greens.
This is a shame and certainly not worth the 100 plus bucks..
great layout. tough to maintain
still love lodestone still a great layout. definitely not getting enough play to maintain the course. they should fill in some bunkers maybe remove some tee boxes to make it easier on themselves to maintain.
Greens are the only part of the course that are nice
They have a lot of work to do to get the course back in shape. A fair price until they do is $35 including cart for 18.
MK Loadstone
A very nice course in a pristine location. A great balance of hills and views. And multiple tee boxes to play up to my ability without getting too frustrated:)
