Mirbeau Inn & Spa Plymouth
About Mirbeau Inn & Spa Plymouth
The Mirbeau Inn & Spa Plymouth is located in the historic town housing Plymouth Rock at the gateway to the Cape. The 50-room French manor house combines the amenities of a world-class spa, elegant dining and the privacy and service of living on an estate. The inn and spa buildings are decorated by monet ponds gardens and warm landscaping reminiscent of the countryside near Paris. Mirabeau, loosely translated as “reflected beauty”, is adjacent to the Jack Nicklaus course at the Pinehills Golf Club. The Pinehills golf community is also home to a Rees Jones course, forming one of the top 36-hole clubs in New England. Historic Plymouth is a great destination for families with Plimoth Plantation, museums, monuments, whale watching, horseback riding, dinner cruises, fishing, boating and sightseeing.Facts

5 STARS...but know that is conditionally given...
The 'condiiton' is a function of the extended drought we have had...and the nasty impact on the course...when dead center drives hit the fairway, roll, 30-50 yards that tells one just how hard the ground is...and most of these ended up on the edge of the fairways...as far as any good/normal pitch/chip shots holding the greens...not happening...putting off the green, from the fringe, worked best...
Putting, as mentioned on Sundays US OPEN commentary, saw reflections on the green, meaning super fast...a mere whisper, and you were 6 feet past the hole...entire state needs rain...
Finally, I joined a resident threesome, that took off before my tee shot landed...and one of them was just learning the game...and struggled mightily...this is NOT a course for the beginner...
No risk reward on any shot the entire round...the pin placements, were #4, but defended with slopes, so one would need a POP up to try to hold the green...
Wind was definetly impacting
Great Time
Didn’t see another foursome once during our 4-hour round. Course in great condition, but challenging. Staff very friendly.
Best golf experience on the South Shore
This course is outstanding from the locker rooms to the 19th hole. Absolutely perfect conditions and meticulously maintained. Greens were true and fairways crisp. I play here often and have never been disappointed.
Great experience
I played this course for the first time and played the Jones course. This course was one of the best layouts And well maintained courses I have ever played on . Can’t wait to b play the other course there. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating to get me in early before the weather was to go down hill that afternoon . It was so appreciated . If you want an all around great experience , play here!!! You won’t be disappointed ..
Nickulas
Got to play here for the 2nd time in a week play jones 1st time nickulas this time course is really nice conditions perfect. Nick course is definitely more forgiving compare to jones greens were just punch early in week but not bad a little slow cause of that. Which was ok by me definitely would try to come back this season.
Treat yourself
From the bag drop where your clubs are mounted on your cart, to the Pro shop the experience just begins...once checked in, the practice BUNKERS, CHIPPING GREENS, PUTTING GREENS, and DRIVING RANGE are at your disposal to warm up...all included...
Then, once on the course, you might want to remember your phone for some great vistas...imagine what it would be in the Fall...
Class all the way...could not ask for more...and YES, the restaurant is serving with ...PROPER social distancing...
Excellent golf experience
I’ve played both courses in the past but tonight was fabulous. The staff was great. The conditions were the best I’ve seen in the last 5 years. Covid has kept the golf outings to a minimum and no wear and tear. I played with a father (a member) and his son who was visiting. They were excellent company and the weather couldn’t have been better. I also was trying a new driver and hit every fairway. The only way it could have been better was to ace one of the par three’s. This round was memorable!
Best Public in Massachusetts
I've played a lot of the "top" public courses in Massachusetts. This might be my favorite one. It's a close race between Granite Links and Pinehills. The course itself isn't that challenging, but it's still fun and requires a lot of different shots. The pace of play is pretty quick, the conditions were best in the state.
I'd put it up there with most private courses I've played in the state, and it's way ahead of most public courses. Good practice area as well. Definitely check this place out.
