Great course
Went off the back at 4pm finished round by 7:15. Very quick for Eagle Crest. The course has number 10 and 11 under minor construction. Greens ran a bit slower than usual. This will soon be some of the best greens in the area.
First timer
Great course and hole lay outs
Eagle Crest Early Season Round A++
The Greens were in phenomenal shape, so impressive for this early in the golf season. Kudos to the Eagle Crest staff for getting the course looking so good this early.
What a great deal for 18 holes!
Great course
Held past our t time because two other players were running late. We should have been allowed to play our t time. We were there on time and ready to go
check in issue
I showed my booking confirmation # but it didn't say how many players that I paid. When I checked in, the guy who works there didn't believe that I paid for two players. It made me uncomfortable to play.
1st time at eagle crest
it was veary cold but despite that i had a blast.
the course was absolutely fabulous, i mean completely blown away by it's beauty !!!! (1st course i ever took a selfie) i will most definitely be back to play again..
enjoyable round of golf
golf course was in great condition, really good greens. played the white tee and should of play the blues, the course did not play as long as the yardage. generous fairways but did have a lot of water holes. a very scenic golf course.
This course is maintained to a high degree and very enjoyable.
Eagle Crest is a very well maintained and operated facility. The course is in very good condition, some of the holes are very challenging, with risk reward options. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. It is a very fun track to play.
Don't believe the score card
Changes to Eagle Crest have improved the layout if you haven't played there in the last few years. The course has been lengthened significantly from the tips and the longer distances were not reflected on the score card 9/15. Tee up if you need to score to enjoy your round.
Very scenic
Ford lake is a beautiful setting. Greens and fairways were superb
not for me
very slow play and the greens where extremely inconsistent.
Awesome course, beautiful layout!
A really picturesque course. Doesn't get much better in the area! Challenging holes and you can't beat the views!
Nice course but too many pedestrians and even wedding ON the peninsular green!
Let me tell you something I usually don't see on other courses. And I think this contributed a lot to the slow play too.
I played this course from time to time. It's lovely course and surrounded by lake. However, for many times I saw pedestrians walking on the course when we were teeing off or playing. I would guess these people must be from the Marriott hotel and they may even don't know that they should never walk on a golf course. But didn't the hotel tell them that they can't walk on the course when they checked in? Even they didn't , where is the ranger?
Besides the pedestrians (I saw 2 this time again), I saw something I have never seen before: we saw a photographer was shooting (wedding) photos for a couple. Initially they were on the side of the green. When we were chipping around the green, they kept moving around our balls and shooting and almost made us feel that we were the strangers and they owned that area. After we finished the hole, we saw they moved to the green and kept shooting the photos (it's a nice green and it's a peninsular green with lake background). The group behind us were just about 80 yards and were trying to play their approaching shots. Before we finished our next par 3, they were still there! We don't think the photographer and the couple just came to the course by themselves. There is a cart which looks like belong to the course (or the resort) and the lady drove them around.
This is a nice course and that's why golfers are willing pay good money to play here. But these pedestrians and even wedding photograph thing really changed my mind if I should come to play here in the future.
Poor starting
Good course but afternoon play is very slow. Starter also not very knowledgeable about how to manage the groups playing. Was on hole 13 and had 6-7 groups from 13 to 15. People on 15 were just teeing off.
great golf
I love playing here. Great greens! Nice looks all day.
Great Course
This course is one of the best in the Metro area. Greens are hard and rolling (quick). The condition of the course was great.
Nice views.
Interesting variety of holes, challenging in places, fun, and a gorgeous view!
Beautiful.
Course is immaculate. The peninsula type green on the back nine is truly a challenge.
Should've gone sooner.
I was very impressed with everything the Eagle Crest facility had to offer. The course was in great shape and the layout of the course was the type of challenge that excites an avid golfer. It no doubt holds its own against the UofM and MSU courses. The practice greens and range are nothing but class (not to mention the UofM GC and Radrick Farms have extremely limited, if any public range usage). I will definitely be returning to Eagle Crest sooner than later.
Pace of play
Moved rather slow on the first nine (back nine). 3-4 groups on every hole. Waited at least 5 minutes on every tee. Never seen a ranger. Back moved much better, due to half the groups in front of us only playing 9 holes.
