Tough track for the first timer
Course knowledge is essential to scoring well at this course.Must be in proper area of the fairway and the proper tier of the green to stand a chance of scoring well. Overall had a great time.
Lovely course - Super nice staff.
My husband (the better golfer) & I always enjoy playing this course. It is easy to get to (right off I-94). Although it is close to a main highway, you would never know it. The course is expertly maintained and the surrounding woods and beautiful Ford Lake view is a feast for the eyes. The course is moderate, but some holes can be very challenging - especially for a newbie golfer like me. The staff are very attentive and always try to accommodate your needs. We enjoy playing this course whenever we get the chance.
this is great course.
This is must play course in this area.don't miss out.very nice course.have fun.
Course in great condition
Eaglecrest had very fast greens. Well maintained and a challenging layout
Nice Track
Great Course , played many times. Greens Great , Staff Awesome , they need to do work on the T boxes. They were beat up a little.
A must play course
Eagle Crest is one of the nicest courses in or around the Metro Detroit area. The course is well maintained and very scenic. The views of Ford Lake on the back nine are spectacular. Like everyone else says the greens are very fast and challenging--many are severely sloped and some are two-tiered. It is a real challenge just to stop the ball within a few feet of the hole on most of the greens so be prepared.
After playing a number of the courses available on GolfNow.com, I have tried to narrow down the courses I really want to play and this is one of them. If you can get 18 holes in the $19-$25 range for this course it's an absolute steal compared to a number of other courses in the area.
Fast Greens
For he most part a very straight forward course. There was not one hole where I struggled on where I should be placing the tee shot. Ford lake offered some great views, enough trees and reasonably forgiving. The greens were fast and rolled awesome. I blew a few by the hole, but they also allowed for some holed putts at distances I usually don't make with a shorter stroke. Only cons... Enough people out there that didn't have the ability to play this course. Had to pass two groups and yardage markers were odd or missing.
These greens are fast!
Excellent course with excellent conditions, however, be prepared for the fast greens!
Course has nice views of Ford Lake
They have removed a lot of greenary bordering the lake so as to provide very nice lake views. The greens were flying (12.5) A couple of 2 and 3 tier greens I don't like. You could not keep the ball on the green if you were above the hole. They are healthy and fast and true. Fairways very good. tee boxes need attention. Pace brutally slow
Greens, Greens, Greens.
Great Layout. using the lake and the hills to their advantage here and it made it tough and playable.
Played from the Blues (64xx) At a 12 handicapper it was the right spot for me. gave me a variety of clubs to hit on my second shot and made the par fives fun.
The greens are pretty fair, fast, with the grain it goes quick and that was great.
Lightning fast greens
This is the course I play as often as possible. It is challenging but fair. The greens are lighting fast and well maintained. You need to try this course.
Very nice scenery just outside of Detroit.
Beautiful scenery surrounds this course. It has very challenging and smooth greens, running about a 12 on the day we played which was after a night of heavy rain, so one can only imagine how tough they'd be on a dry, hot day. Not that long but lots of trouble to get into if not hitting it straight. Bunkering is fair with nice quality sand. Good range and practice facility too. But was very impressed with the wonderful vistas so close outside the city of Detroit. Felt like northern Michigan or Florida.
Great on the Lake
Wow, this is one of the nicest courses I've played. The fairways and greens were immaculate (save for one green) and the greens were very fast and undulating. The best part of the course is the proximity to the lake which offers spectacular views. The presence of the hotel slighty detracts from the country club feel, but overall I will definitely be back and bring others to enjoy this masterpiece.
Diamond in the rough
Great course. Very scenic considering the area. If you can find a deal for under $35, it is well worth it.
Don't book a late twilight rate....
We got a great deal on a twilight rate for Eagle Crest, and got stuck behind a league. The league players clearly feel like they own the place--slow play, no regard for the people behind them. They tee off between 5 and 6 and only care that they get their 9 holes in before dark. 9 holes took almost 3 hours!!! Golf course is great and the starter is the nicest guy ever.
Eagle crisp
I love this course so much that i have a nick name for it....eagle crisp.
Manicured to perfection, awesome challenging layout,. So much fun for such small course.
Awesome condition, great Layout
Course is in great condition, Stay below the pins tough greens fast!
Beautiful course!
Will definitely go back! Very friendly staff, beautiful views!
Great Course, Great Staff!
Fairways are in excellent condition. Staff is friendly and courteous. Greens are in amazing condition and can be very challenging. An unbelievable course for an unbelievable value.
Fantastic golf course with 18 different and challenging holes.
Over the last five or six years, the course had a couple of groundskeepers who just didn't work out. The new groundskeeper has done a fantastic job revitalizing the course. The greens are in great shape and are as good as any of the famous private clubs.
