New Owner Double JJ Not Taking Care Of Course!
Been playing here for years and now I am very disappointed. Was a great course and very well kept. Double JJ bought the course last year and it is very obvious the money and resources are not going into the course. Burnt grass, tees not being mowed for days at a time, cup edges grown over from not being changed. bunkers not maintained with 10 inch weeds growing in spots. Golfed on the 4th of July and our group had both carts not make it back due to not being charged. Terrible that the rates went up and now a once beautiful course is heading downhill just like the other Double JJ course The Thoroughbred. The past owners of Grandview would be disturbed to see the course these days.
Fun Course
This is a great course! Rough was thicker than normal and greens were very soft. It can be tough if you spray your t-shot.
Weird stuff.. normal for JJ ish enterprise
Well...first off...proshop could not find our Golf Now reservation...which of course we know was placed hence this review request..
Then on the 7th hole(?) Fairway is an abandoned cart...and at hole 14 we knew what that was about as our cart was almost out of juice..it died for good at 18..we pushed it up to the lot. So someone is not charging or they have not replaced batteries whose life is long over.
Gal in photoshop was apologetic but no offer of a free beer or free round...sad...but so typical of Double JJ customer service.
Fun and challenging
This course is always in good condition but I was struck by the fantastic conditions of the fairways and greens during this round. The course is fun and challenging. Any hole on the course can be easy if played correctly but make the wrong mistake and you could find yourself scrambling to prevent a big score. The ‘island’ green on 8 is always an exciting highlight. Two thumbs up!
Grandview Says it all
Beautiful course. Excellent condition friendly staff. Will definitely play again.
Always a Pleasure
Great layout and extremely friendly staff. Greens were slow, so I assume they weren’t mowed due to recent rains. Love to play this course and visit the Brown Bear in Shelby for the best burgers and broasted chicken in West Michigan!
Grand View June 2018
My friend and I had a great round of golf. The greens and fairways were in very good shape. The roughs were a little deep and made for more difficult shots, but your supposed to be in the fairway anyway. The weather was perfect and we had the kind of round that make playing the game fun.
grand view
love this course, will make the hour drive from home at least twice a year to play.very scenic, nice rolling layout, well groomed fun.only problem this time was i showed up a bit early, and even though there were no golfers anywhere in sight around the first tee,the lady in the clubhouse made us wait for two groups to go off that had not even showed up yet, kind of made me feel likesince i booked on golfnow i was second to walk on tee times,no worries though it was a beautiful day and a pleasant round
Golf
Fairways and greens were good but off the fairway alot of thick quack grass. Narrow in places accuracy is important. Lots of woods to enjoy and fall colors.
Need a Marshall
Nice track, greens were in good shape, but the pace of play was way too slow. Finally we skipped a hole and a guys said, "oh, we didn't realize were holding everyone up. I guess we could pick it up a little." If there had been a Marshall pushing a little it would have been great.
Tranquil round
This course is not easy by any means, but it is always in good shape, the only crazy hole is #2, an extremely difficult that is a little extreme in my mind. Every hole on the course is away from other holes which is wonderful, so you are almost alone all the time as you play a hole! I have here many times, and I will always come back when I am on the west-side of the state.
Lots of hills!
We love this course. Staff is always very friendly. Didn't even have to ask for a rain check when even using Golfnow. Each hole has it's own personality. The greens are in great shape. Over all it is a very well maintained course.

Grand View
Nice course. Fairly long with some tough holes. It sits kind of high so it is usually windier then some.

Enjoyable course
Typically good Arthur Hills course. Challenging but fair. Great greens and overall in good condition but tees and bunkers could use some additional attention. Need to keep the ball straight, thick trees and lots of swamps. Each hole is completely by itself, you never see another hole. Very secluded. Heavy rain the day we played so we were by ourselves on the course. Course drained well and service was excellent. Great rate (hot deal) on Golf Now.

TLC
Staff very friendly. Course has some great holes and is a nice layout. Some blind shots but course book was very helpful. Overall a good value, course itself could just use a little TLC. But considering everything would definitely play there again.
Best greens around. New pro Chris is awesome and very accommodating. I actually live on a course nearby and plan on moving to this course next year 20 minutes away from home.
