About Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center
The Drummond Island Resort & Conference Center is a rare golf resort in the Midwest located on an island, reachable only by car ferry ride from DeTour Village in the Upper Peninsula, 60 miles north from the Mackinac Bridge. Drummond Island encompasses 2,000 acres of pristine wilderness on the largest freshwater island in the United States. The hotel lodge houses 40 rooms, while 15 cabins are more spacious with kitchens, living rooms and multiple bedrooms. The Rock, a Harry Bowers-designed golf course, communes nicely with nature. Pins Bar & Grill serves good comfort food (pizza, hamburgers) with entertaining features like corn hole, an arcade, a juke box and golf simulator. Visitors can also go kayaking, fishing, swimming, skeet shooting, biking, hiking, sailing or play tennis.Facts

HUGE Improvement
We had played this course 4 years ago and it was a soggy mess with weeds. We went back this year in August and there was no weeds to be found (tees, fairways, and greens). The new owners have come in and really brought back the beauty to this "off the beaten path" golf course. They were in the process of updating the restaurant and bar into an entertainment
sports bar facility. Well worth the trip to this secluded resort out on Drummond Island, Michigan
Challenging but not punishing. Nicely laid out and flows nicely.
Staff was super friendly. Beverage cart was available and very courteous. Halfway shack came in very handy for a little respite between nines.
Course was in very good shape and greens rolled true. Enjoyed the remoteness that each hole offered. There was enough forest between fairways to make it feel as if you were the only ones on the course.
Can't wait to play The Rock again!
