These 4- and 5-bedfroom homes offer views of both the golf course's signature 17th hole and Lake Templene. They come equipped with a fridge, range, microwave, fireplace, walkout balcony, flat screen TVs in every room, living area and gas grills for outdoor cooking. Great Layout, Great Design, & Great Conditions
The Wolverine State is a public golfers dream and a state with so many great public courses some get forgotten. This is one of them, but in any other
State it would be in their top 25.
I wished I had played the course before them eliminated the three holes around the lane that are now housing.
Diamond in the ruff.
This course was built on old farm land. Some of the elevation changes are dramatic. The course is well maintained, with some of the fastest greens I've seen on a public course. The 14th (613 yard) par 5 plays up hill and into the wind. A bit unfair for anyone who is a double digit handicap-er. Grip it and rip it, and grip it again, you'll need it.

First time playing at Island Hills and I loved it! Very challenging for me as an average golfer. Rollings fairways and greens adds to the excitement of play. The rolling greens almost force you to get the ball close for your par or birdie. The flag locations were kind of challenging as well. Sometimes nestled up behind a hill or tucked way in the back of the green. Several holes with water and lined with tall grass. Hole 17 has the tee box elevated above the green surrounded by marsh, water and bunkers. Hole 18 is beautiful with you having to hit over the lake to reach the fairway. Beautiful scenery throughout the entire course and the staff were great and super friendly! When I pulled into the parking lot one of the staff members brought a cart out to me at the car. Very impressive. Decent driving range next to the 1st and 10th tee boxes along with a nice practice putting green. There is some distance between holes and some of the cart paths are a bit rough and they could use a few more direction markers but overall very nice. I really enjoyed playing all 18 holes and am looking forward to going back with friends.
