Okay and overpriced

course is fine but nothing special and not worth making it a destination. Pace of play was horrible. Backed up 3 groups on several tee boxes. Not a single ranger in sight to help move things along.

Great Course for Relaxing Round

We thoroughly enjoyed this course. Very interesting layout and course was in great condition. Read another review from a week earlier and can’t believe that person played the same course. Very peaceful setting winding through the rolling hills with tree-lined fairways. The course is quite playable, without too many punishing holes. It’s about 1/2 hour outside Traverse City and well worth the trip.

Overpriced and Disappointed

Played this golf course on July 10, 2023 based on reviews I had read. What are these people talking about? The golf course is in horrible condition. Tees, fairways and greens are burned out and many tees not even open. There is no driving range and even the putting green is roached.

Pace of play was fine, but only because there weren’t many people there. The design is ok but many tricked up tee shots that require an iron, taking driver out of your hands.

Charging people $89 to play Manitou Passage is a rip-off. I wouldn’t play it again for 1/2 of that.

Fun round

Course was fun, front nine has plenty of elevation changes. Plays fair and pace of play was 4.5hrs on a holiday weekend. Back nine plays tighter, greens overall were slower then expected.

Beautiful course

This is one of three beautiful golf courses in the area,

The course layout is challenging for all skill sets,

The club house is nice and the staff is very friendly.

Will definitely play here again.

All carts have gps on board.

Green Fees:

Yes, the course is beautiful and the layout is nice. I’ve been coming up to Leland/GlenLake area since I was a child, I am now 70years young. As a child I remember when SugarLoaf mountain was built as a down hill ski resort. So playing the course is pretty cool seeing the old ski lifts coming thru over grown forest. My only complaint is that I feel a round of golf whether it be Manitou or any other golf course. one should see a reduction in green fees surely after Labor Day. I religiously come back up to Leland area every Labor Day week. I was shocked to see week day rates as high as they were. I live in southwest suburbs of Chicago, and we have high rated courses around here also. The green fees are quite reasonable in the spring and the fall. Something to think about moving forward. I love golf, but rates pointing towards $100 don’t quite cut it with me. I understand during prime summer months, the area being a sought out destination to visit for many may merit the higher green fees. Again it would like to see a reduction in the fall. I saw you also did away with the Labor Day special. $50 was a real pleasure!

Like I said the course is very nice and well taken care of. Think about a reduction in the fall.

Thanks for opportunity to comment.

Course is carved out of some beautiful wooded, hilly terrain.
