Beautiful course. Not an easy course to play on but scenery is beautiful

Course condition, amenities and staff are great! However for someone visiting for first time and possibly the only time I would not recommend. Too many blind shots and 90 degree dogleg holes. In hindsight I would have either paid more or less for a course that does not require so much "local knowledge " in order to play. I am a 12 handicap and shot 91. Gave up several shots because of not knowing the course. Wanted to drive up on several holes to see before teeing off but that would not have been possible. Again course condition, amenities and staff were great. I would choose a course that is easier to navigate. Just honest review. Don't hate on me. Lol.

Fantastic course, great staff and really good price for value. It had rained through the night and first part of morning so course was heavily saturated, but it still played extremely well. For those that cancelled, I thank you - I had the course to myself.

I had a wonderful time killing a few hours while my wife and daughter shopped in downtown Petoskey. As a matter of fact it was the best way to get out of shopping. The staff had top notch customer services from welcoming me at the bag drop to seeing me off to my truck. Every interaction with the staff; club house, starter (from Downriver), beverage cart, lunch at the turn staff; was fabulous. Although wet, the course was in great shape! It played very well from tee to green. The greens ran true and held up very well. The course fit my game perfectly and I will be back there playing many times!!! Thank you Crooked Tree Staff!!!!!

Some very nice views on the course the course laid out with half of the holes were in pretty good shape overall nice. However, several of the holes the layout was abnormal where the tea boxes are redirected the wrong direction or you seem like you’re on a side hill for a big part. There are many of the holes from the back tees have significant distance area before you hit the fairway. The greens were in good shape, speed of the greens are quite variable from one hole to the next. A nice course to play, but there’s certainly a few nicer courses in north Northwest Michigan.

This course was in pristine condition. But the slow play on the Quarry was ridiculous. The starters make a big deal about playing in 2 hours and 10 minutes but don't bother to marshall the course. First nine was 3 hours +. Preserve was much better. Otherwise a beautiful and challenging course. I recommend waiting till October when it's not so crowded and slow.

Seasonal color change makes this course a must. Nick was at the club house grille and he is always polite and friendly.
