Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel & Waterpark

Where I normally play, this was far and above those. Really enjoyed this course, will definitely be back.

I play in a league at the Fortress. It is as well conditioned as any course in MI, it is a little bit pricey but not when compared to other great courses like Arcadia Bluffs. It favors a straight and long driver. The heather is tough and the greens are very fast. It is a beautiful course. The staff is friendly and there are many places for excellent food in Frankenmuth.

Five stars. First time I’ve ever played it after years of hearing how good it is. Set up is challenging but very fair. Fairways are pretty generous. Lots of bunkers but I felt that 70% of them help save your errant shots rather than being penalizing. Greens run fast and true. Tee boxes are flat and well maintained, not a mine field of divets. Landscaping and maintenance details galore make the round a joy.

Perfect shape and awesome track...Absolutely one of our favorite courses to play. The greens are fast and it’s very challenging course that’s beautiful and very relaxing. Looking forward to my next round.

5 Star course that’s in excellent shape with fast greens

The Fortress is one of my favorite courses and is totally worth the hour drive to play. I finally pared #13...#1 handicap hole with water on both sides of the fairway. I love the course and the workers are all friendly and attentive.

This course has all the challenges you would want to play. Beautiful layout and very consistent with keeping everything clean. The golf carts has clubs and ball cleaners on em.

Greens are fast and the fairways are always beautiful! If you’re Looking for a challenging course this is the course to play. Even if you don’t want a challenging course you can always play forward vs back.

Came back to play here again because the course is always in great shape. Fairways are like carpet and greens are true (could be a little faster). I do find the regular rate a little high but you get what you pay for.

My mom and I got this on a Hot Deal so we only paid $26 each for 18. This is the best manicured course I've ever played on. The holes are long and hilly. It's a beautiful course and I look forward to bringing my husband back to play so he can see it for himself!

Could not ask for a better fall day to play this beautiful course. Blue skies and sunshine really accentuated the colors of the trees, adding to the beauty of this course! Very nice layout and conditions! Only one drawback, we were not aware that the greens were aerated. I guess we were not surprised being that it’s October in Michigan

The Fortress is absolutely one of the best manicured, as well as challenging courses in Michigan. The staff are gracious and hospitable. The club pro may be the best at what he does. No cookie cutter lessons. Everything about the Fortress makes it worth every penny.

Best Public Course greens I have ever seen! Truly enjoyed my round and will certainly drive an hour to return.
