It is an 18-hole public golf course with a small Crown Pointe Lodge on site as well as other partner hotels that offer stay-and-play packages. Disappointment
My friends and I have played this course for years and truly felt it was a hidden gem and worth the near hour drive. Yesterday was absolutely horrendous. It was basically unplayable once you got to the greens, such a fall from what it was just a few months ago. We talked with some local guys who play it more often and one of them worked there in the past. He described the course condition as a lack of motivation of greens staff. That is very sad and I hope they find someone new. They may be in process because we literally saw no one out there working on anything. Such a shame and it is going to take a lot for us to go back.
Course should be closed in current condition
This course used to be a hidden gem away from downtown St Louis well worth the 50 minute drive. Unfortunately that is currently not the case. The fairways were in average shape, bunkers below average and the green were truly unplayable for any golfer who plays regularly. It’s truly sad to see the course in such shape. We ran into a gentleman playing that said he used to work there and he informed us that whoever owns/runs the course has lost interest in keeping it in the shape that it used to be. Quite sad really.

Great greens gone bad
This course was one of my favorites. Something went wrong, all the greens were burnt. Not sure what happened. Very disappoint.

Rainy day but course handled it well. Fairways very good greens had some rough spots overall nice course.

Get ready for the rough.
The course was in excellent shape. The rough was thicker than I am used to and put a premium on keeping the ball in the "short grass". I like this course.

A challenge
The golf course was in very nice condition. There is always some wind blowing in this area - I would say you will be playing into a head wind or cross wind on 15 holes - imo the course plays 100 yards longer than the card from whichever tee box you play. The rough is thick, so you will need to keep the ball in the fairway to have the best opportunity for a good approach shot. The greens are receptive and were rolling nicely. Enjoy!

Hot - Hot - Hot
Always love this course, today not so much. Had 6 holes cart path only which was totally understandable due to wet spring. But when you have to walk that much, the heat index is 100, cold ice water not available on the course, something is wrong. Hole 4 water jug was empty, hole 16 water wasn’t even cold. Please get ready for hot weather,

Had a great time!
I was in town for business and had some time to kill. So I booked a tee time. Driving range is great. You hit off of well maintained grass and the range distances are east to see. Carts were clean and ready to go. Friendly staff and the other golfers were friendly as well. I played the course by myself so I played at my own pace. The only thing I would say is play with other people because the rough is thick so it made it hard to find your balls. First cut is thick the second cut good lucky finding your ball. Overall I highly recommend this course.

Yeah, I guess a supe working 18 hours and showing up at midnight and employees working 7 days a week isn’t showing much effort.

It is always our utmost goal to provide our golfers with a fun and enjoyable time and we apologize if we missed the mark. Due to the extreme heat and lack of rain in Southeast Missouri over the last two months, our course is experiencing discoloration issues on a limited number of dormant greens. Fortunately, that is not affecting the playability of our course, or the pace of our greens and our turf loss has been kept to a minimum. Our rough lengths are the lowest we’ve seen in years because of the draught. Please feel free to reach out to our staff in the pro shop with any additional concerns.
