2nd time is not a charm
2nd time at this course both times very windy. Course appears to always be under construction could be a good thing trying to improve. However 2 things happened that make me not want to play here again.
1st upon arrival I checked in my party of 2 for our round as the lady in the clubhouse store told me there was a single who would be joining us and once he was checked in we could start. I must have missed that if that was one of golfnow’s Rules. And I told the single to go ahead and play ahead of us.
2nd
Maybe I’m the one who is wrong here but every other place I’ve played after the 9th hole we stop grab some food and drinks and enjoy ourselves before hitting the back 9. Not at crown point. They have a 5 minute rule on the turn. So you can grab a cold sandwich or call and order ahead. After I was rushed out with my food I had to juggle the next 2 holes with trying to play and eat at the same time so I wouldn’t hold up other players. Which I’m pretty sure I did the opposite. If I could have eaten in the club house I’m sure I wouldn’t have affected anyone’s game.
I’ve never felt more unappreciated than I was here. Telling me who I was gonna play with and giving me attitude that I’d like to break for lunch and that I was holding up everyone’s game by spending more than 5 minutes in the clubhouse. Which the food was pretty bad anyway.
Regardless thanks but no thanks crown point.
Good upscale course in SE Missouri
I am a member here and play a lot of golf at this course. It is set over old pastures and the property is almost treeless. But this is a long, challenging golf course with big greens. Fairways are zoysia and always in great shape. The rough can be a beast, during the springtime.
