Love This Course!
I have played here many times and this is my favorite course for a few reasons. It is NOT the nicest course I have played but for the value it is fantastic. The course is usually in great shape, the clubhouse is great, the course is fun but can be challenging. If you're playing well you can score well here. The only slight negative comment I have is it can get busy at times and be backed up. But overall great course!
Well improved
This course was recently taken over by Walters. They have done a great job on improving the course and club house experience. Hats off to them for I find it very reasonable for the price and the course is in great shape. They hav put drains in arrears where it use to be a muddy mess. I recommend to play here for a good conditioned course.
Great Course
We really enjoyed playing here. The course is beautiful and in awesome condition. The front 9 pace was perfect, but for some reason, the back 9 was really backed up. Waited on every tee box. Didn't really want to ding the star rating for just the back 9. Other than that, perfect day!
great course for great price
Course was in great shape. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great value for a great course and layout of course provides some challenging holes. Will play again soon.
Innsbrook course
Great condition, fun course to play, greens were a little stressed, maybe to much water, ready to be punched.
Staff
Excellent course friendly staff!! Well worth the drive!! Scenic view!! Greens excellent
Getting better
I used to play this course almost weekly a few years back. At that time the course was not well maintained and eventually it was no longer worth the time. Yesterday was the first time I had played there in awhile. I was pleasantly surprised. The scenery is always beautiful, but they have really put some work back into the course. The greens were rolling smooth, fairway was even and the rough was fair. I enjoyed the round, but the problem is that the layout of the course is nothing special, it just feels like the land could offer so much more. Innsbrook is a decent course and the rates are reasonable as well.
Great Place
Had a pass for a free foursome including carts. Regular greens fees are around $44, but with dynamic pricing, you could pay more or less.
The course is inside the Innsbrook resort area, a gated community of summer homes and permanent residences surrounding several lakes. The clubhouse looked new and the bar area appeared to be a very hospitable place to enjoy some post round drinks.
The course itself is very playable. Par 70 gets you two more par 3's compared to a par 72 course. Many elevation changes provides for some blind shots, but adds excitement to the round. Water comes into play on several holes and hitting over the water in some instances will drastically reduce the yardage to the hole. Tee boxes were in good shape, as were the fairways. Greens were large but I found them hard to read. They were well maintained and provided a pretty true roll.
I liked the course and wish it were closer to me, but if you live in St. Louis, particularly west county area, it is well worth the drive to the Wright City exit to play Innsbrook.
Innsbrook Golf
One word: Odd. A very average course built in a very odd fashion. Tee boxes need work- hard to find a level lie on most tees.
Waiters effect
This is what happens when wgm run your courses, no marshals so pace of play is subject to whoever is in front of you , no water in most coolers 1 had old hot water in it. Didn't see bev cart till 8th hole . Several greens are looking sparse
Innbrook
Over booking,
Barely managed
No leadership to inform people about the reason for delay in90+ degrees outside
No water in the field
The greens badly maintained
Great condition
All good except that we followed a six some on the back nine. No course should allow that.
Always a pleasure
It's a 30min drive but always great time, love the course!
Course Infrastructure bad. Don't go to this course now.
Cart paths worn out. Need Paving. Chuck holes.
Tees muddy.
Greens OK
Fairways terrible front 9. #9 should be closed.
There is a disconnect of Course Hole #s with cards
Poorly marked hole directions.
Many weekend golfers were beginners, slow no courtesy.
Bar and Food OK.
Bag boy need training on how a real course works at that.
First Time
I have wanted to play Innsbrrok for awhile now as I had heard good reviews. Decided to take the wife to play as she has started to play recently. The course was in great condition except extremely wet. My only complaint would be that my wife and I had planned to golf as a twosome and we were paired up with another twosome. With her being new it made the first couple holes more stressful for her. We did see another couple that was golfing just as a twosome two groups in front of us. I felt they overbooked the course. Outside that the two guys we were paired with were friendly and nice. I would golf there again but only during the work week.
Learn to schedule
I have played here 4 times now and every time takes 4+ hours. Had tee time today for 4:00. They ran out of carts!! Tee'd off around 4:30. Left 18 at 9:00. Perhaps the fact there are 6 par 3's has something to do with it. IDK. It's a good value for the course conditions. The lay out is great from the back tee's, but the time investment is to much, because it also is in the middle of nowhere.
Course was under construction
I was very disappointed with the course. We booked through golf now and did not know the course was under construction. The 18th and 9th hole were both closed and were both par 5 holes. The person in the club house did not have a solution as to which holes to play to make up for the closed holes. We decided to jump around and do it ourselves. The pace of play was slow and we had to wait on every hole.
Drainage project on #9 is now complete. It was scheduled to start the Tuesday after Memorial Day & take 4-6 days to complete. Unfortunately over 19" of rain in a 12 day period turned that into a much longer project. Drainage on #5 fairway (on a much smaller scale than #9) is about to be completed. Cart path repairs will be completed this week (again, pushed back weeks because of rainfall totals) and nines will be flipped as soon as path repairs are complete. Come back out again and you will be amazed!
Nice layout. Shot makers course
I play this course around six times per year with a foursome. The pin placements are the same almost every time! Maybe I'm playing the same days but I don't think so as I'm retired. And their placements are for a Sunday at the U.S. Open. Come on we are ametures. Put a few in the center and not on a crown. You want us to come back right? You wonder why there are five hour rounds. Watch people three and four putt all day. Great course cheapened by greens keeper
Wet and difficult
Course was very wet from several days of rain. Several holes had serious under repair fairway spots. Yet they seem to go out of their way to find difficult pin placements, adding to frustration of playing conditions and slowness of play. I would suggest whomever sets the pin placement take into consideration the overall course condition in the future. Otherwise, don't play after a heavy rain.
Nice Course
The course is under a little construction at the moment. But it is a very nice course and definitely worth every penny it cost to play. Once the construction is done it will be even better. I highly recommend this course to any kind of player.
