Oak Valley Golf Course & Resort

Met the course owner in the bar after the round and he showed genuine interest in our experience. Course in great shape and will challenge your game.

I grew up playing this coarse . It’s ashamed the shape the coarse is now . I wish they would put some care into it . Just being honest, $20 bucks for 18 holes with cart type of coarse . I could definitely see this being turned into a housing development if they don’t get some chemicals and water going .

Course is very challenging! The tee boxes could/should be more even and not on a slant on some holes! The fairways are somewhat ragged. The greens are in excellent shape!

Getting back to what it was a few years back. Course is making a great improvement since the last time I played it in April 2023. Great value for what I paid. I highly recommend it.

The course is in a great setting. There is a lot of wildlife on and around the course. It was very challenging. The course was in good shape, but it was dry and some of the grass was burnt up on the fairways. This should be better once we get some rain. Understand the conditions with the dry/hot weather recently. The pace was great until the last three or four holes. Overall, it was a great experience, and I hope to play the course again in the future. The clubhouse had a great bar and restaurant for after golf socializing. The staff were excellent and nice.

This fairways on this course are pitched either left or right, you might as well just hit it in the rough because I don’t care where the ball lands in the fairway it rolls into the rough on either side. I hit 13 shots right down the middle of the fairway and ended up in the rough on 11 of those shots! I’m not bragging but I play 3-4 times a week and have a single digit handicap. They were rolling the greens today and they played super fast so you needed to adjust your putt speed accordingly and overall once on the green play was acceptable but boy those fairway rollouts sucked.

Play was a bit slow and no matter where you hit the ball on the fairway it ended up in the rough. Very few level spots on the course. Most all the fairways lean left or right. It’s hard to get excited about golf at this course because you get punished for shots that land in the fairway and roll into the rough. I’m done with this course for the rest of 2023.
