Reviews
Hyatt Hill Country GC (Creeks/Oaks)
Awesome play. Course was best I have ever played on. Fairways/greens even the 1st cut rough was in great shape. I would recommend this course anyone that likes a challenging course.
Impressive
The resort associated with this course is amazing. The 3 nine hole courses were all different and unique in their own way. Kind of expensive unless on a special but well worth the money. A great experience
Very Nice.
The courses are well put together and the signs keep you straight. I love that I jave the choice to play a combination of courses every time. The only downside was the greens in rough shape for aeration.
Disrespect
The gentleman at check-in said “ Don’t mess up the course like you see in the internet”. What happened to “Thank you for choosing us…have a fantastic round and day”. I guess common courtesy is out the door. It doesn’t take much to ruin your thought process before teeing off. Im am offended. In addition to that, The marshal at carts was amazing. Thank you for that. I cancelled the following day related to rain and thunder so I requested my bag to be returned to the resort lobby. Well it wasn’t there at resort check out and I literally had to go and demand my bag from the club house which made me late going out. Come on guys you are better than that. I am a return patron of the resort but will not be playing golf
Mixed golf experience
Nice course layout and practice facility. Good fairways. Greens were aerated. No notice was given for greens being aerated when making the tee time or upon checking in. I had to ask which two 9's to play (there are 3). It really is a nice facility but could be run better.
Great Course
I played here several times before and I’ve never disappointed. This was the first time I did play the Oaks. I have to say that of the 39 hole courses the oak is now my favorite very tight and coarse management is a must. I love courses that make you think we’ll definitely be back. I hope to play the oaks more often.
Like to Play More
Even if I lost a few balls, I enjoyed the whole experience.
Enjoyed This Course (Lake and Creek)
I played the forward tees at 77 and some physical problems. Very friendly course and I was able to shoot my handicap, I was surprised that we never saw a refreshment cart; water was provided but a beer or libation who have been nice. The staff should inform players and they could buy something for the cooler. This was the only negative I have for this great course I’ll play again!
I think I would have really liked the course
but 6 hours no way. They need marshals to
keep the pace
Not Their Best Day
Arrived to find out we had to play the same 9 (Oaks) twice because of an outing. We were told we received a “discounted rate” but not sure how true that was.
Course is in decent condition. Not great. It’s a tight layout.
Real problem is in the staff. 25 minutes for 4 hot dogs at the turn. They screwed the order up 3 separate times and no one seemed particularly interested in getting us our food.
Played La Cantera the day before. For $60 less per round, this course really needs to up their game.
Great experience!
Course was wide open on a Friday afternoon. Started at 4 and finished at 7 playing by myself playing everything down and putting out. Couple of greens had some poa annua issues, but fairways were fairly lush and green. Greens were receptive with the tee boxes being a little sloppy with topography. Was a little upset to see the course leaning into resort type golf destination and getting rid of the chipping green area. Not enough courses have a good practice area for short game. Overall experience was great shot a solid 72 and will be coming back with friends and guests!
