Save your money!

Way over priced for what you get. Tee boxes were horrible. Practice facility was horrible. 3 holes on putting green, 2 pins for chipping to, and 8-10 bays on the range. Greens were ok for an $80-$100 course, problem is the green fees are $190. Fairways were best part of the course. They were in good shape mostly. Layout was fun. They sent 4 groups of 5 out ahead of our tee time and the round took 5 1/2 hours. No marshal on the course to help with pace of play on a Saturday round. Cart girl we saw on #1 tee box and #10 tee box.

lost pines

This course was in excellent condition. the only negative is I had to pay $12 for parking because it is a resort. this seems rediculous since I paid to play their course.

Excellent course - fun layout

Excellent course in excellent condition. A really good mix of long, short, tough, and score-able holes. Some big risk reward short par 4s. I really enjoyed the layout and the course was in fantastic condition. Just a few spots on a few needing a tiny bit of work. I got a GolfNow deal price on it and 10/10 times would play it again at that rate. Worth it!

Course is in good shape

I’ve played here a handful of times in the last 20 years, it’s a fun experience. But I feel it’s gotten a little too proud for itself. This golf course is worth about $100 or less. I got a hot deal this time and it was $135 (at a time when rate was $225) and I still feel like I overpaid by about $50. It’s fine, just not worth the money these days.

Wolfdancer / Lost Pines

Great layout and tough greens to hit. Greens are in much better shape than last year. Course is challenging and a fun test. Staff is terrific.

Friday Evening Perfection

Booked a last minute tee time for a solo Friday twilight round. Had the whole course to myself. Incredible! Course was in fantastic condition and I absolutely will be back again.

Very enjoyable round

The greens are a little bumpy and a little slow but overall, I give them a solid B+. Fairways are slightly shaggy but pretty uniform and no bad spots that I saw. I grade the fairways with the same B+. Liked the friendly starter, very nice food and beverage at reasonable prices, iced towels on the course, GPS on the carts that worked well, built-in Bluetooth speaker on the cart that worked well, and comfortable cart seats. I had low expectations going in because of a few questionable reviews, but I think the recent rainfall and better than average course maintenance made this day a winner. 4.5 stars out of five overall.

Perfect Day

The course was in fantastic shape even with the previous few days. I loved the set up and it was worth every penny I spent on the Hot Deal. I will have to save up to ho play the course again, but it will be worth the wait. I highly recommend playing this course. *Side note* I was pleasantly surprised that the golf cart offered Blue Tooth capability along with the GPS of the course and yardage.

Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Also yes.

not sure what the fuss is about in the reviews below, but i just played last thursday 4/24/25 and thought the course and greens were in spectacular shape. a little deadness' around the edge of the greens but nothing that will change the outcome of your score IMO.

it is expensive, but its a beautiful course. there are other courses (teravista) charging $130 for a tee time... just spend a bit more here and get a much better experience and more unique track!!

10/10 recommend.

Not worth the $

This is a $100-$120 course all day for a weekend rate. The land is very nice, hill country, couple of beautiful holes, but $250 to play here is deranged. If you like inconsistent greens and super tight lies with no fluffy grass and paying a lot of $ this may be your place. I will not play here again at that rate for sure, take it down to $110 for the weekend rate and I may come back once every couple months. (I live 10 min away)

Way too expensive and 5 hour round

Great piece of land. Nice layout. Greens are 3/5 condition as is the rest of the course. I’m sorry but I feel absolutely cheated to have paid $240 to play our 5 plus hour round here

High price for condition, still a good experience

The lower rating is based on quality vs price. Overall a good experience, but the green fees are too high ($200) for the issues that exist. I played on my birthday with my father, so I didn't mind paying extra for a nicer, less busy experience. Set your expectations accordingly and you will also enjoy your outing.

The on course staff were great and I enjoyed my round at Lost Pines. The greens were fast and very challenging, but had some issues with patchiness. Pace of play was relaxed (not hurried) and I never had to wait thanks to the course not being over booked. Some fairways had been aerated recently, but were otherwise in good shape.

Sad to see

What a shame. It’s a great layout and used to be one of the best courses in Austin. It’s now in horrible condition and twice the price as it used to be. Greens are lost, bunkers rock and tee boxes scruffy. Course is the worst value in all of Austin now - either cut the price in half or start investing in maintaining and repairing the course. Sad.

wouldn't pay more than $110

the normal rate for the weekend was closer to $200. that would be grossly overpaying for the condition that the course is in right now
