Early golf
Greens great bunkers bad fairways just coming in. Course layout interesting fun to play
Worse greens ever
Had to wait 10 minutes every hole for 5 hour round greens were like putting on cabbage.
Have to wonder what a good deal is. Use to be a course I liked.
Awesome day
Tee boxes were all excellent. Every single green was well maintained. My only issue was I could n't read the greens to save my life. Many times when reading the green it looked straight with no break. and many times it would break near the hole. So the greens were a challenge but that was good thing. You could not take any putt for granted thus showing the quality of the how well maintained the greens are.
loved Course
Loved the course when back in Texas will play again
Loved the signature hole.
Nice course, a lot of walking
The course is pretty with a lot of changes in elevation. Nice practice area and nice concessions, cart girl comes around for on course snacks and drinks. Good bathrooms and water stations.
Not friendly for senior golfers because it requires a lot of walking, much of it on hills. The course is not layed out well if you like to walk instead of using a cart. Even with a cart you’ll have plenty of hiking to do.
Golf
Course at FH is not what it used to be.
Course was not in good shape.
Thanks
Nice course. Bunkers need some work. Well worth $49 not $89 it had been.
Excellent shape for winter
One of the best winter conditioned courses during the winter in Austin.
Hot deal only.
Fairways are brown and dry, they have some drainage issues with standing water in some spots, greens are in good shape. Good value for the “hot deal” pricing I received through Golf Now but not worth it for Falconheads normal fees.
Great deal for the price
We enjoyed the course immensely.
the Wind was a nuisance but the course layout is challenging and the greens are in great shape .
Hadn't played here in a while will definitely come back soon esp at this price
Demanding Course
What can you say!! I chipped in for birdie on number eight. Great course! Very challenging from any tee. I always enjoy playing here. Every chance I get. Especially nice in spring when nature adorns the landscape with new growth. What a delight!
Great course at great value
Course was in great shape despite receiving a large amount of rain the last couple of days.
Negative changes with new management
Course is under new management that has little concern for members. They are making many changes to the course...narrowing fairways, letting the rough grow higher, over watering fairways (their contract with the water district requires that they pump a minimum of grey water each day), etc. The rough is so deep that it is difficult to find your ball even if only one yard off the fairway, greatly slowing play. Even when it hasn't been raining, they overwater several fairways and many areas are soggy. Prior management watered in waste areas rather than the fairways. Because of the wet/soft fairways, your drives no longer run out...it is as if you are hitting a wedge with every shot as your drive frequently stops only 5 feet beyond it's landing spot. If you are not a low single digit handicap player, the course is no longer fun. Most golfers will struggle on this course the way it is now formatted. Monthly membership dues were more than doubled, some increased as much as 250%. Membership is no longer a good value.
